Ffp question - what is there to stop someone signing him on a 10 year contract - say for 150m in terms of ffp that would only be 15m a year and just tell him that after 3 years we will put your pay up
Atletico signed someone to a 10 year contract this summer. I think you get around it by adding the 4 extra years as a club option.I think I've seen that there's a 6 year limit on contracts, but I could have just dreamt it
Depends if UEFA class that as 6 or 10 years then. They could always keep extending it to 6 years each year to reduce the costs, but they'd still need to meet it this year. However, one sale could do that and as the losses are over a 3 year period, it's possible they could think they could grow turnover enough, especially if they win the CLAtletico signed someone to a 10 year contract this summer. What if they had a career ending injury and you were committed to paying them for ten years...?probably the player, who would sign a 10 year contract ?

He's far too busy writing up his Mbappe to PSG storyDuncan Castles quiet on twitter today
There is of course another possibility, that we were never in fact in the race.
I really can't see us paying anything beyond £100m, and that's not going to get him, so as time shortens the most likely outcome is that he will knuckle down again in training, and stay another year.
Perhaps, but I still don't see us paying in excess of £100m for him, so a non starter really.Just opinion this, but do you not think with clubs sniffing round him now,Monaco may want to push him out and not risk his value dropping if he stays another year.....he may look a bit shite with what he has round him this season,if he stays?

If....Yeah,maybe right, but why did Pep meet with him(or his dad)if that's the case,if he did meet.
I tend to agree with this. As much as I'd like to see us go for him there's not a chance we are prepared to go anywhere near their asking price, regardless of all the posturing from some posters on here. The supposed meetings between Pep and Mbappe and the agreeing of personnel terms are pie in the sky as far as I'm concerned and will remain that way until I read something a bit more concrete than Bluemoon. No disrespect to the site intended.Perhaps, but I still don't see us paying in excess of £100m for him, so a non starter really.
Great to see that someone else loves judge always thought i was the only one!!!
If we had a chance of getting him I think we would of had him by nowPerhaps, but I still don't see us paying in excess of £100m for him, so a non starter really.
Some sense being spoken here. We've had no bids reported on this or Sanchez from any official sources. But lots of giddiness and excitement.I tend to agree with this. Would love to be proved wrong, mind. Some sense being spoken here. We've had no bids reported on this or Sanchez from many official sources. But lots of giddiness and excitement.
I agree, I don't think that we'd not be mentioning it at all ever, if there was the remotest chance he would come at a price we were willing to pay.If we had a chance of getting him I think we would of had him by now
