Why don't they ban bags , other than clear bags from the city store so people can see in them, as clearly the store will still want to sell stuff
why the fuck do people take rucksacks to the game anyway ? - its an hour and half!! If no bags to search (or many less bags) it would be much quicker

Not really. We're seeing high levels of security because terror is a very real threat at the moment. That's all there is to it, and I thought last night was a bit of an improvement.

Firstly, there's been plenty of fat, balding, white terrorists over the years. Secondly, would you like security to start racially profiling those heading into the ground? Because that's a very slippery slope.
I joined a large queue 20 minutes before KO last night, and was through security in the space of a few minutes, which was a huge improvement on last year. No complaints from me.

You will be surprised - after the Arena Bombing and other attacks, the security services, police and Government are on high alert. Football stadiums with high profile games is a big target.
There were all manner of Security tests being carried out last night by police and security services.
I expect more to be looked at for around the ground before and after the games - big threat is lunatics using vehicles as weapons.
We are living through some fearful times, this sort of thing has been regular in some parts of the world for years.

Essentially the point is that the security we now see could one day be the difference between life and death. Hopefully it's not always going to be like this, but in the current climate we have to put up with it.

Security is crap either do it properly or don't do it at all.
1) A would be suicide bomber could just mingle in City Square before or after the match without his back pack being checked and just set it off.
2) I have had an hip replacement and every time I go through security at any airport in the world the metal detectors go off I get pulled on one side padded down etc and asked why its gone off. Every match at City I have been too with the added security not once has their detectors gone off! Why cheap wands or run out of batteries whats the point!

Google Samantha Lewthwaite for just one publicised example. And then with that knowledge in mind, apply the process of racial profiling. It isn't impossible for example, that the white female wife of a known jihadi could be in the queue in a City shirt, and yet we would let her slip in because she isn't brown with a beard.
Even use Salman Abedi as an example. If I had passed him in the street I wouldn't have profiled him as Middle Eastern or even North African. He just looked like a mixed race kid to me.
Arsenal do that and put a tag on a searched bag - easy enough, so unless someone comes with the right colour sticker...Should have a separate table away from the turnstiles where any loon who takes a rucksack has to go there to get it searched!
So was it not too bad on Monday? E queue seemed about 10 minutes long while C had gone by kick-off. But E were getting through security as quick as the turnstiles could let people through so there were queues for security and the turnstiles!

We need finger print recognition brining in soon - all people on our data base also linked to an intelligence network - will happen in time I would imagine.
