Popping the nazi movement, facism, the daily mail and the knashing of teeth to one side for a moment.

On track in 2019 to regain our soveringty determination and self governance without the inteference of Brussels or their ilk.
I am not educated enough to debate the nuances with some of the articulate souls on here but am very very proud in the direction in which our fine country is now heading.

And if our pound is on collition course with parity of the euro then so be it.
Just tip less and seek out better value.

They dont like it up em mr Jones and the electorate has spoken.

If you look at who was in the British armed services (you know the ones that actually did the fighting and dying) they were working class.

The 'elites' were the ones such as lord Halifax that wanted to appease.

If you look at the British armed services (you know the ones that did the fighting and dying) they were foreign. Mostly from the Indian subcontinent.

India, now India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, provided an armed forces of 1 million men during WWII. All volunteers. Significantly more than any other contributor to the "British" army. It remains the largest voluntary force assembled in recorded history. The UK provided about 400 000 troops, for comparison.

Apologies if that is how you read it, certainly wasn't my intention. in the context of my response to the OP (who i believe was making some connection between working class sentiments on Brexit to be similar to the habits of those who read a certain newspaper that is well know to have shown support and advocacy of facist and nazi gorups) i was pointing out that Nazism was in fact more heavily supported by those of a middle class background than masses were.
The irony of making a connection between the working class and the Daily Mail is also lost on those who immediately
throw in this publication, together with the little Englander and racist essentials, when the discussion appears to be leaving them behind.
The paper directs it's narrative at the middle classes almost exclusively; being from a working class background I have a
look at it occasionally, then go and practice looking downwards through hooded lids and perfecting my sneer.

Where did you get this crap from there were 3.5 million men from the UK in the British Army alone,India as part of the British Empire provided more than two million volunteers, by the way over 87 thousand lost their lives, the UK lost almost 400 thousand military deaths.

The first causality of war is truth!

How anyone could consider the Daily Mail to be anything other than a publication aimed at the middle classes is a mystery to me.

I really believe this was the image that helped sink remain, rich people wanting to stay in the EU lording it up with champagne on a boat smug and complacent, whacking great big fuck off to everyone who is struggling. Add the morally superior quite well off faux poor pretend socialists who only talk about their pensions and how they can help big business and you have a big NO fromthe working class.

Still plenty of people seeing no ships.

Incredible. This country's version of the Trump mass delusion, although the end game is a generation of economic hardship rather than nuclear armagedon.

And on this thread not a single sentence or even phrase highlighting a single positive to this mess. Not one. That entire bullshit narrative drained away like sand in an hourglass as "negotiations" started, and all we are left with is peanut gallery harrumphing of "we won get over it" and some frankly bizarre, and troubling, attempts to make this a class issue.

It's depressing that my kids are the ones who will have to live with this.

The Russians did it.

Don't worry, the nuclear Armageddon will mean that the future economic hardship won't matter.

Bob scruffy untalented Geldof and his millionaire mates on board a yacht giving the finger and mocking British fishermen.
The gurning cow waving her Laboutins and the chuckling sycophants alongside him having the smiles wiped off their faces
must have been a joy to behold the morning after the referendum.

He fell off the radar for some considerable time after the referendum with his crazy zany friend the multi faceted Eddie (Hat fell off) Izzard.
