I shudder to think of the regularity with which red cards would be brandished against him if he were to find himself up front in a lighter shade of blue. Even though they'd likely all be warranted. Hell of a player though.Not sure why we are not in for Diego Costa?

We've got 2 central strikers I think Pep wants more flexibility in terms of playing across the front. We'd have refs queing up to give us red cards. Mind you we are getting good at playing with ten men as we are so used to it!Not sure why we are not in for Diego Costa?

Good with the former we should do very, very well this season. A striker, CB and LB cover are exactly what we need. Do you think we'll get a LB as well? Nothing, we're not.
It was in response to the preferred targets expressed by some on this board.

I'd have loved Mbappe as you know, and was critical when I felt that the club weren't prepared to pay the transfer fee. Feel completely different now I've seen the wage package he's on at PSG. 300k a week net is ... well it's mental. I'm not surprised we didn't get involved in that.

Did Tolmie not say City had agreed a deal with Mbappe earlier, it was agreeing a fee with Monaco that was still not done?

Yeah but by the sounds of things the goalposts moved dramatically when PSG's wage offer went in. It was the only way they were ever going to convince him to stay in France.
