Couldn't find his thread so I'll start. His passing this season has been so lacking and so slow, on top of that his dynamism is not there anymore in terms of his movement. I can't wait for Gundogan to be fit. I'd even play Yaya over Dinho now.

Worst game ive seen him play today. You need that protection though if your gonna play silva and de bruyne in the middle and I cant see gundogan or Toure at his age doing that job.

Well Pep's gotta figure something out. Gundogan has to be able to do it otherwise we're doomed. I'm confident Gundogan can do it for us.

To be fair, I don't think holding is in his game he's more box to box. Look at Basquets he's not dynamic but he keeps the ball always available for a pass. Yaya is better suited to that role.

Watching him and Otamendi plod around, playing little 5 yard passes to each other in slow motion, is one of the worst things about our play. There's a lot to admire about the way we knock the ball around but those two aren't on the same page.

Poor as usual these days. Set most of Bournemouth's chances up with his abysmal passing. Disgrace he gets picked ahead of Yaya in games where we have all the ball.

Awful today , nearly cost us a couple of times dithering on the ball or playing a poor pass

I'm hoping that not signing a better player in his position isn't going to cost us

Hopefully Gundogan steps up when he's fully fit

Have to admit he's been below average lately. Giving the ball away in dangerous positions and not linking up as well as he used to. We need to see Yaya, I am hoping Gundogan can play there or else we're fucked for the season.

Honestly the last time Dinho was good was the start of last season during our winning streak. Then he just turned to shit after getting suspended for the Chelsea fiasco and never recover until today.

That's true, suspensions and getting played in 5 new positions ruined him. I was expecting him to recover his form being played in the position he was so successful in but it hasn't happened.

Its not him alone. We fuck him up by giving him the ball in our half with 3 players near him. Its stupid.

He's not been at it, but when you consider it was Alonso at Bayern and Busquets at Barcelona playing that role you can maybe appreciate the difficulty he has. Hopefully Gundogan can come in and take some of the strain off him.

i cant understand the exact role he plays within the system
He's meant to play the holding role that Yaya does. But I believe he's more of an allrounder than a specialist like we need. He's not quite the right player for the way we play, but I suppose it's his legwork that's getting him in the XI at the moment, I mean you can never fault him for a lack of effort. I suspect he's a stopgap for Gundogan, like Sane was for Mendy last week.

He runs around. That's it. Doesn't offer anything going forward, actually slows us down to walking pace and doesn't do a particularly good job in a defensive sense.

He's been a completely different player ever since Toure took his place in the lineup last year. He's been subpar these past 3 games and there is 0 reason for him to start vs Pool, its time for Toure to start vs Pool.

Probably our most consistent performer the past two or three years. Cut him some slack.
Disagree. Think that he's been poor for the most part of this year. He doesnt seem good enough on the ball to play as a DM in this formation. He'd still be a good back up to Mendy as he's a pretty good full back.

not sure liverpool is the great game to introduce toure, that might be too fast for him, but he should damn be starting the matches like brighton and bournemouth. I can't understand why we extended his contract if he's not playing that kind of matches where he is still good enough to offer us something better than Fernandinho currently does. He's certainly capable of picking some good pass up front and theye teams will spend most of the time in their box defending.
