have we possibly backed ourselves into a corner over this by not pushing for a deal sooner? same with aubameyang? no time for any club to get realistic replacements now surely?
 
Wenger was clearly hoping we would have moved on and signed another target that would strengthen his hand in hoping Sanchez would stay , we've played it brilliantly and surely now after the Liverpool debacle he must let him go, their dressing room is half full of players who appear not arsed, you simply can't have want away players in the squad, he's said he wants out for months-how fucking stupid is Wenger?

if he walks away on a free, likely if he stays, then they have pissed 50 plus mil up against the wall.... they need that money, the owners are money hungry- not title hungry. they should have got the most they could for him..settled by now, but no, playing russian roulette..lets see next few days

Clearly yes, but it all depends on how resolute City and Sanchez are.

Ultimately this is a business for Kroenke and the board. Gazidis is just a yes man and Wenger's postulating counts for little, just like with Nasri and Van Persie.

There's a certain line there where Arsenal simply can't refuse to let him go. 50m? 60m? What about 70? If Sanchez starts pushing then that only compounds the situation as they don't want to hold an unhappy, and thus unproductive, player just for one more year to see him go on a free.

Don't get me wrong - ridiculous that they haven't sold, and used that money wisely - had they managed to get Lemar it could have been very difficult.

I don't understand what is in it for sanchez by not forcing a move. If he actively says he wants to move it will force some kind of reaction. We would no doubt compensate for any loyalty bonus, too.
 
If we sign Sanchez we will win the league. That ruthlessness, strength and tenacity is missing from our attack. We've never replaced Tevez or Negredo and I think he will be crucial in a successful title campaign. Will it happen, looks slim at present.

Which makes it even more puzzling why he picked both Sanchez and the Ox for the game, the two players who're kicking up a stink and wanting out, why not play 4-4-2 with Lacazette and Wallcot replacing them?......you can see why the Gooners are fuming with Wenger, he's lost the plot.
