Alexis Sanchez

He wants to play in centre mid.
Maybe he should have a word with milner first

He subconsciously fancies a fullback / wingback role really , hence the desire to move to the Dippers. More guarantee of a place there than at Chelsea .

Isn't Sané exposed even more?
I see Sanchez and Sané on the left wing and Raz and Bernardo on the right.
Agreed?

I think Sané might actually have one of those awkward second seasons, particularly with the 352, but he could also go the other way and make the jump up to world class.

The main thing is Sané's never had the constant undermining that Sterling has had in the media and some of the fan base, plus he's a Guardiola purchase so he's seen as completely safe here.

$14 million a year? Is that like 200k a week?

Sadly the Sterling stories originated from his agent (who happens to be Ox's agent too). My guess is that Arsenal have said to Ward "we want Sterling in the Sanchez deal and City are open to a player exchange". He's smelt an unexpected payday and has chanced his arm to see if City would go for it. City have obviously laughed him out of town.

Will be contract renewal time for Raz come the end of this season.
To be honest, i would rather we didnt wait that long. Don't want a situation where he has 2 years left and is possibly unhappy with playing time. Get it signed now.

I do actually believe that they had the utmost intentions of keeping certainly Sanchez, & probably the Ox as well, i actually reckon he thought he could get them fully focussed, contending & try & persuade 2 if not 3 of them to sign new contracts, however deluded that might sound. The Liverpool game & the manner of the defeat probably blew all that apart. Heard stories of dressing room inquests, demands about players commitments etc after the game. That's when the actual reality probably hit.

With no other clubs being linked to draxler and psg in need to get him, do you think you guys have a chance? Would u be comfortable with the idea of keeping sanchez and letting him go for free next summer when u could have use the money to buy a player like mahrez ?

My sympathy goes out of the window for anyone on the money he is on when he is either out of his depth now, stubborn beyond belief or has other motives. Whatever it is he should recognise he has and should have gone. This guy is not stupid, he is a very intelligent man. How it has come to this I do not know.

That club whatever anyone says has all the necessary requirements to be competing at the top - stadium, fan base and money in the bank

Except the players!

I'd be all over a Draxler, or Mahrez. I'd actually be open to the likes of Krychowiak & JFS, not top footballers but guys that address the imbalance we have in the squad of men / posers / pussies. We haven't got any real strong links to anyone just now though, so feck knows whats going on.

I think he'll be ok with Mendy in a 433. Plenty of swapping the front 3 positions between RS, BS, SA, GJ, AS, LS

I am afraid to say I think you are being naive to the reality of how your club is run. Wenger is there because he carries out the board's instructions which are essentially to turn a profit. They are not interested in spending huge sums to plug the gap and actually try to win the league or CL. Spurs and Leicester have shown that there is value in the market but Arsenal are stuck in a middle ground where they pay decent sums and wages but do not tend to unearth many gems.

Wenger is still living in the past and has blind faith in his methods. Your recent success in the FA Cup and battles for 4th are the best you can hope for.

What Arsenal wanted is Sanchez and Ox to sign new deals. But they want out. Sanchez doesnt want to play for a club that isnt fully committed to winning the league. Arsenal know they need to bring money in but they have to do it late in the window to save face and avoid too much of a fan backlash.

Whilst I feel for Arsenal fans, you have still had success. City went decades without it and at times were close to complete liquidation due to piss poor running of the club. We were saved by the financial might of our current owners and our experience shows how even with money there are other hurdles to success e.g those imposed by UEFA under orders of the history boys to protect their position in the game.

You, like Spurs have enough of a fanbase and income to at least survive and re-build and you still have an excellent squad. It just needs a new manager and a fresh start even if that manager is still not 100% backed financially.

If Sane, even at wing back, is given licence to get forward and take players on he will thrive this season. He has made his error defensively and Pep will not be too bothered. There were several other reasons why it led to a goal that Pep will be annoyed at. He loves Sane because like Jesus he will take anyone on without worrying if he loses the ball. He will just fight to win it back again.

Peps battle with Sterling has been to get him back to the man he was at Liverpool where he didnt care if he lost it he just hunted it back. He had 18 months of being booed anytime he lost the ball that can seriously damage a player for life. Pep has slowly but surely got him back to where he was. And he will flourish.
