I could not agree more with every word you have said .Why is Kompany still playing international football with his injury record....he needs to think long and hard on what's important...it's obvious to all and sundrie that he can't cope with the games when they come thick and fast...throw in internationals and it's asking for trouble

This season we have a better keeper as well as two quicker and more adept full backs to complement them. Let's see if it makes a difference to the form of the centre backs.
At the end of the day Otamendi cost £30M, Stones cost £50M and even Mangala was around £40M depending on who you believe so there's no excuses, if Pep truly is the best he will be able to get a tune out of that lot.

Agree.I'm as gutted as anyone that Kompany is injured again and I did expect a top CB to be brought in over the summer but let's just get behind Otamendi and Stones for the time being, there's no point being negative before they've even played the game. But just because some costs alot it doesnt make them a good player.
Mangala even in todays market is worth nothing like 40 mill.

He was out most of last season and we still had the 4th best defenaive record in the league conceding 39, the press bullshit about our terrible defence is just that.
More concerned about losing his presence as a leader on the pitch, bit if it's just a couple of games then I won't worry yet.
I would deffinately play Yaya with vinny out though.
We finished 3rd which ultimately means we did miss him.... it's undeniable we messed up not signing a more reliable option.
It's this age old argument of heart ruling head, we've seen it with zab more recently, they just aren't consistently the players they were!

The biggest concern is the spacing between the CDM and the CBs - Dinho leaves so much space as he's often getting caught far too high up the pitch. If it happens tomorrow then Mane and Salah will seriously punish us
