Everybody is waking up to the reality now that it is staring th lem in the face. They just thought we'd go away if they ignored us. They know what's coming and now they'll want a piece of it.
First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.

But we cant defend and when we play good teams they will attack our weak defence...im worried...leaking goals all over the place

They talked about the Chelsea City game at 7.50 ish as well
Wilkins referred to Chelsea as "us" and said "I am a Chelsea supporter" he then went onto say that City were magnificent and didn't give Chelsea a sniff. Ederson had next to nothing to do and this was without the Premier League's best player, Sergio Aguero
Full of praise for our team ethic, stellar players and a big shout out for Delph

He said tactically Chelsea got it wrong in that Fabregas should have played further forward and couldn't understand why when the sub was made Willian was brought on

But both Kelly and Wilkins said that City have placed a huge marker down

Neither could have praised us any higher.................... Or did I just dream it!!

Strange re Edison, just looked at Garth C's team of the week and it seems he has picked Edison in goal despite his nothing to do role. Apparently raving about his distribution and working as another defender making goal stopping redundant.
He also picked one other defender from City in K de B.. claims that although not at his best against Chelsea he played well against the Ukrainians .
Rest of our team failed to impress at least as far as Garth is concerned.

In a way I sympathise because a really good team performance such as we saw against Chelsea would merit the whole team being picked which is frankly what he should have done.

its funny that the most important win by manchester city in many a year and it was not just a sneaky smash and grab 0.1 away win to the champions but a demolish of the champions and a statement to the media in lazy reports that we are a leaky defence this city team are crap at the back well how many clean sheet this season but you wake up this morning to the same old shit from the media

biggest twats are manchester evening news took me 5 min to find the match report and headlines from manchester city games we are so far down the web page am thinking are we still in the premier league or a non league team from manchester

i will say it again this win was not just a smash and grab win a way to the champions but a total demolish and a statement and how on earth can the media not say how it is they all got the free ticket to watch the game and good food and drink for free at halftime and they still cannot see from the press box what happened on saturday night

mark my words if this was united it would be title over and medals would be handed out and open top bus tour and PFA manager of the year / player of the year / young player of the year and Ballon d'Or for rashford with is 3 goals all season

I agree with another poster... Edison is an upgrade on Neuer... the same skills but with greater potential.... a massive statement but he inspires confidence... if we are picking up on this then the players certainly are too....

Seriously, for me, the type of football we have started to play has come a season early. Before a ball was kicked last season, I thought it'd take Pep 2 years to buy the players he wanted and implement his style and mentality on the team. Regardless of what may or may not happen this year, next year I expect us to be a genuine powerhouse, not only in England bit in Europe too.

It's commonly known that to get into his ToTW you have to score a goal. You can have a stinker but if you score then you get in. What do Monreal, Yoshida, Fellaini, Davies, Coutinho, De Bruyne, Kane all have in common? Look back each week and you'll it's see the same. It's a waste of time article that I find amazing that anyone takes note of. As for his comments re Ederson, he was pretty spot on too - didn't have to do a lot but everything he did oozed confidence.

If a member of the media (in this case pundit Tony Cascarino) offers the totally unprovoked comment "this station and some papers have had it in for Pep and City. I have been asked to write such articles on several occasions but have resisted because of what we saw yesterday (Chelsea performance)", then there are only 2 possibilities:

Either, he is bullshi***ng, or he is actually telling the truth. If it is the latter then it is a clear indication that someone in the media is setting the agenda when it comes to reporting on City (and other teams for all we know - both positive and negative). If it is the former, then you have to ask why, and is it a personal thing, or did someone tell him to say it.

Why don't you just use the Manchester city home page on the MEN website? It's not that difficult to navigate. Main page doesn't tend to football related stories, it's mainly world or local news.
