I really don't know if he is needed with the squad City have. He wont play every game and this will make him upset and start pouting

I agree. But I still think Pep and Sanchez are in the same boat. It's only about Arsenal to let him leave.

@neil316 Take out the season plan and think about it again mate.
No player is set to play every game. Pep has said it load and clear. Not Sergio and nobody else.
Sanchez will be very aware about that and still wants to join City asap, as we could see in September.

That's fair enough, just Sanchez looks like the kind of player that would be upset if he did not play every game

I think he would accept it if it happens to all squad members. It's feasible to think of our club to be involved in 60 or more games this season, and throw in international call ups too. Forty games is more than enough for anyone and to remain fresh then rest periods will have to be enforced. Any problem that comes is probably when cup finals come around, especially so if we make it through to the Champions League final. If he wasn't to be named in the starting line up for that little event then he probably would be kicking off behind the scenes.
 
Sanchez is almost world class, but I won't be disappointed if we abandoned the thought of buying him in exchange for another striker with high potential like Jesus or an established striker around the 25 age range. There must be a few gems about in South America or Africa.

I don't follow J League but I've heard of good things about this Doan player in the u20 world cup. Might not work in a more physical league though.



Edit: just found out he's playing on loan in erevidisie's Dutch league, 2 goals 1 assist in 4 appearances so far.

I think he does at arsenal as I think he has no faith that his team mates will step up a get a result without him. Must be tough thinking that you have to play 90mins every match if you ever want to win anything major. I'm sure he wouldnt mind being on the bench every now and again as long as the team were playing well and winning.

Some of the defending on that vid reminded me of the 1981 Cup Final when Villa fucking scored that shite goal!

You mean someone like Kelechi? We gave up on that though since we probably din't want our attacking line to only have potential. We already have enough in Sane, Sterling, Jesus.

Also the J league needs new goalkeepers.

Instinct, mate. Nothing else. From City's point of view, we're playing brilliantly and the competition for places is arguably even higher than we anticipated a couple of months ago. From Sanchez's POV, he'll be a few months closer to being able to sell himself to the highest bidder.

These were always factors, and rivalry for places can be positive. I just feel there have been subtle changes in the balance. Many times in life, if you don't seize the moment, it soon passes.
