I think at this point it is but an official test, (since Brazil is already qualified). On the other hand, goalkeeper is a position you dont do tests unless you are not so sure of your current option. And Alison is playing for an average italian clube (Roma) and was never an unanimous choice down here.Is this more of a one game thing or is he going to continue starting for the future?
I think that if Ederson plays well, he has a fair chance of continuing. Specially if he has the chance of showing his top qualities, in my view, his distribution and the way he control the box during crosses.
He also plays for city on major european competitions (Premier and Champions), if the team does well, I can imagine him as BR's world cup keeper next year.
A last note, Brazil x Chile will be a chance to see Ederson x Bravo .

Not a fan of intl break. On vieweing 3 now of the Chelsea game. Unsung moment that I really noticed was at 77:33 (77:39) where the crowd whines for a handball and he waves his hand and gives them a fuck off moment. Love the direction of this team. Squads been too humble for too long. It was a goofy stretch where he took option two or three that was close but he was confident of his decision.

Don't usually root against players but wouldn't mind seeing Alison concede a couple against Bolivia followed by an Ederson clean sheet against Chile ;)
Me neither! Also I am rooting for a long pass from him to reach neymar or Gabriel that end up in a goal. If that happens, he will definitely have build a strong case for being in the starting 11. ^^

Sensational goal kick in the 23rd minute which seemed premeditated between he and Gabby. The ball flew to inside their box, and Gabby was a couple of metres in front of the defenders.
