He is gonna debut against chile. Tite just confirmed. This is Guardiola and City's effect all the way. It will be hard to ignore him, if he continues playing well at citys and collectioning clean sheets at premier and champions leagues..Should’ve started over Alisson. Future of Brazil No 1
Great news for him and us,and very well deserved. He is gonna debut against chile. Tite just confirmed. This is Guardiola and City's effect all the way. It will be hard to ignore him, if he continues playing well at citys and collectioning clean sheets at premier and champions leagues..

It is in portuguese but I think you guys can translate to english through the browser.
I hope he does well. He is much better than Alison.

I think at this point it is but an official test, (since Brazil is already qualified). On the other hand, goalkeeper is a position you dont do tests unless you are not so sure of your current option. And Alison is playing for an average italian clube (Roma) and was never an unanimous choice down here.Is this more of a one game thing or is he going to continue starting for the future?
Well deserved if Ederson starts for Brasil. Let's hope he comes through it unscatched and adding to his confidence.
The problem Ederson has is that Brazil in the last 6 months under Tite have really come to fruition as a team and are starting to look credible in regards to potentially winning the World Cup.
Tite, I doubt, won't make significant changes to his side in key positions.
Don't usually root against players but wouldn't mind seeing Alison concede a couple against Bolivia followed by an Ederson clean sheet against Chile ;)
Question for the Brazil fans....
Is Ederson's start against Chille mostly not to risk big injury to Alisson, or is Ederson in contention for Brazil's #1?
