The United fans in the press are desperately trying to turn the title race into attack vs defence, dogma vs. pragmatism, style vs. substance.

The reason for that is because they aren't ready to admit yet that we're better in every single department, and that United's defence is no different to a lower league team, pile 8 men behind the ball and hope to the other team don't break through.


The pushback this week from the rag media department has been unashamedly obvious, all the familiar faces summoned to defend PEG's decision to play like Huddersfield, even the twats put on Sunday Supplement had the piss taken when they issued their impassioned defence of a Mourinho Masterclass.

It's only going to get more fun for us with Spurs and Chelsea still to come this month for United - I wonder how loud the defence will be if they're 6 or 7 points behind after those games?

I find it amusing there's this general consensus we focus too much on attack and playing pretty football, while neglecting our defence and are naive, while United are the masters at pragmatism, with us being cast as idealists, and Pep as a starry eyed romantic. We kept a clean sheet away at the champions without our best defender and captain, and a midfielder at left-back. They almost contradict themselves; 'United have a fantastic defence, and what a keeper De Gea is, look at all those saves he makes', 'City are poor defensively, and as for Ederson, well he's hardly been tested yet'.

Posted earlier in the champions league thread,these fuckers are blessed they stumble through a lot of their games and always seem to get the rub of the green,you can bet that keeper wouldn’t have spilled it over the line if it had of been us or for that matter any other team,the huge slices of luck they get in games no other team can come near,jammy horrible scummy rag bastards ..

I just wish they would drop away to mid table obscurity,I want to see them suffer by going year after year doing fuck all,and grasping at the fact Liverpool is their big games of the season while the other major clubs battle it out for the honours,with these cnuts looking on ..

You’re not alone in that, mate.

I don’t know which I’d love more; the bastards relegated to obscurity or struggling in the Premier League, and City hammering the scumbags at least twice a season.
