Breaking records/stats thread

IIRC Hull City scored more than pegs lot in one of the two legs - but of course it did not count.
with gougealot who said the rags were unbeaten.

The match is officially a draw - though we won the tie by a penalty shoot out - and shoot out goals don't count in official goalscoring stats.
I can't be arsed looking up the rules but they are there. They are mainly in place to leagally back up the gambling industry who will not have paid up on a City win yesterday but will have paid out on a draw.

City have followed the precedent set previously. The game is included as a win in sequence records because it was decided by penalties. It will forever be recorded as MCFC win on penalties. Had there never been a precedent then there'd be a debate to be had but in statistical records MUFC's champions league win on penalties was counted as one of Ferguson's European victories when they recorded how many wins he'd had. That logic is the same for sequences. Did MCFC lose the game? No. Did they win the game? Yes, on penalties. Simple spreadsheets will always show it as a draw at FT and AET but records will always show it as a win on penalties.

Where do United show it as a win? I can only find a reference to Ferguson winning 110 European cup games which doesnt include the moscow final?

did united do a club record or something last season and they counted the league cup 2 leg semi final win vs hull but they lost the 2nd leg but the game was won over the 2 legs

Gambling industry states 90 minutes so it’s nothing to do with that.
