I was talking about the surroundings. Rosso, in particular, is a fabulous building.
@asahartford1 I'll look forward to the review...
Ah right. No worries mate.

You've obviously not been in Bruno's, Manchester's No1 rated Italian on Trip Advisor for Pizza and Chianti. A stone's throw from the Etihad!!
Ah, so this is now Brunos.
I used to come in here when it was the greasy spoon.
Much prefer it now
It's garbage, piss poor, seriously don't bother...Oh Asa Hartford, Asa Hartford, na na na na na.
Yes mate I have. Not the extravagant surroundings of a Rosso or a San Carlo, obviously, but the food is very good. Well worth a trip before a match but you must book.
This thread isn't the good food guide......back on topic please.
Busy at work I think. Or fishing?Amen to this. Surely there must be someone "in the know" that can give us a stadium update - what's happened to Worsleyweb?

We can start next summer and have concerts, as we had concerts first summer of the last expansion all the work is done outside the existing stand.Foo Fighters playing next June. One date announced by they'll probably do at least one more.
So no expansion next summer.
Not had a meaningful update on here for a while. Anyone got any insider knowledge?
Not necessarily. The South stand is much bigger now, so the stage could be moved forward allowing building work behind it.Foo Fighters playing next June. One date announced by they'll probably do at least one more.

If true, might as well extend the other 3 sides of the ground at the same time, rather than having to redo the roof twice, increasing the capacity to 90k in the near term including a single tiered safe standing behemoth behind the goal.I had it confirmed to me during the summer by a friend who works for a structural engineering specialist that the exiting roof if f**ked and will have to be replaced within 4 or 5 years or the Stadium may fail to get it's safety certificate going forward. It was cheaply constructed and it is leaking badly.
They are not going to fix drips unless they turn into torrents - replacing the roof ASAPP is the goal.
If we are to become the best team in the world. This will drive demand to see it. You need to put the infrastructure in place to grow the club and the brand. The money tap is being turned down, somewhat, that goes for New York City too.
Will have a knock-on effect in terms of where we do invest these next couple of years.
