Yh but its obvious that they are not at the required level and the other ,2 are the future
Agreed, after Tosin much improved performance v Wolves & Mangala being as useless as ever was disappointed not to see Tosin on bench at WBA as reward.

It’s a new rule FIFA are trialing in which the team with the best bench (determed by an independent panel of experts... and former players) gets to field said bench for the first 20 minutes if the match.

The new rule is meant to encourage attacking play and reduce goalless draws.

The only other time it was applied was for United against Huddersfield, which had the desired outcome in difficult trial conditions.

I did not know that
Cheers Seb!

Just looking at our team line up for this game last year:

Bravo

Zabba
Clichy
Kolarov
Otamendi

Sane
Fernando
Yaya
D.Silva
De Bruyne

Sterling

Not being funny but that isn't a great line up and we still won 2-1.

Arsenals team was basically the same team you would expect Sunday except Lacazette will come in.

On their day Arsenal are a good side & can test anyone. On other days they fold easily. If we can get an early goal, we could give them a drubbing. If they turn up, it will be tight, but I still fancy us to beat them.

I always enjoy playing the Tarquins as they try to play football rather than stop the opposition, that said our current form would make a draw for them a very good result and so Wenger may change his stance on this one.

For me it is always Walcott and Giroud that worry me the most although Sanchez and Lacazette will also test us.

I'd take any win to be honest.

Did you miss the game where they sat in 2 banks of 4 and got Coquelin to kick lumps out of D. Silva and stole 2 goals on the break - they were lauded for it in the press. I prefer to think they sold their soul, principles and footballing ethos to work one over on us. I hope they try that again and they will find we won't be quite as accommodating this time.

i think we will win. im going for a 3-1 win because we all know Walcott always scores against us.

What you call arrogance i call confidence, and, after the evidence of the season so far, what gives you the right to call such fans pathetic for being so?
It smacked of the same entitled arrogance we've always scuffed at fans of Madrid Bayern Juve and the "shit over there" for having... Funny how It seems we are no different after all. :( But I guess when we do it, its confidence. Bit when others do it, its arrogance.

I just like being consistent here and think "arrogance" is a fair judgment of a lot of what preceded my comments.

But others can feel free to disagree and perhaps even deem my opinion itself as "pathetic." And they'd be within their rights to feel that way.

Walcott, Wilshire and For our were the only senior players to start. And all 3 will be on the bench on Saturday at best.

They will start with a well rested 11. While at best we'd have 2. Walker and Jesus.

OK I never saw the game but fair enough.

We will still beat them.

Arrogance

"Having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities."

We are setting Premier League records, we're 22 games unbeaten, we've won 14 on the bounce. We are turning up every week and seeing one of the best performing sides in Premier League history - these are all facts.

Arsenal are poor. They're only just staggering out of another crisis by virtue of some easy fixtures. They have one of the worst records in the league away to the top 6.

It's not arrogance to expect 1 team doing incredibly well to beat a team struggling. Expecting a 5,6,7-0 and being surprised if it didn't happen would be arrogance. Expecting a win is not in itself arrogant, even expecting a comfortable win isn't.

I think the effort put in during the week might cost us on Sunday. This will be a bit of a battle I think and I expect something along the lines of the cup semi. Hopefully we will get the win but a draw would not be a disaster particularly if the rags draw or lose.

PEP: Against @Arsenal, it is complicated. Hopefully, we will have recovered well from Napoli and will put in a performance for our fans.

PEP: What matters is to play good and win the game. The main thing is always to win the next one. Our supporters can help us with that.
