14 wins on the bounce , thoroughly deserved wins at the current premier league champions and serie A unbeaten leaders , stuck five on the Dippers , and i think 22 matches unbeaten , so maybe we should be confident of beating an Arse team that has as usual put the lower teams to the sword and bottled the big games . We also owe the tarquins big time for the daylight robbery of an F.A. cup semi - final a few months ago , so if i am arrogant in thinking we will thrash Wenger and his team, then so be it , but they are well overdue a proper good hiding from us and Sunday can't come quick enough for me . As for Wengers bullshit presser about attack being the best form of defence , all i can say is , bring it on , if they do go toe to toe with us it will be a cricket score , how's that for distasteful arrogance ?
I like it.

Gundogan was subbed off in the 71st min vs Napoli and got 18 min vs West Brom. De Bruyne played 90 minutes in both games. If Pep was playing to start De Bruyne vs Arsenal I’m sure he would be the one to be taken off earlier.

Starting players game after game is counter productive.

Right now our strongest 8s are David and Kevin. Would be nice to see them both start all 3 games, WBA, Napoli & Arsenal. Unfortunately they would be tired in the second game and struggling in the 3rd. The whole team suffers because of this.

Pep is managing it wonderfully. First game David and Kevin, Gundogan comes on. Second game Gundogan & Kevin, Silva comes on. Third game Gundogan and David then De Bruyne comes on. Overall fitness levels are much higher with this rotation and the end result is the team plays much better.

Once Bernardo is up to speed completely will bring him into this and it will work even better.

Same reason Pep wants Sanchez. 5 players for 3 positions. Rotation keeps overall fitness levels much higher and competition means players will always try their best.
I think KDB will start and Gundogan will come on for him

We just beat one of the best teams in Europe. Napoli have conceded 3 goals at home ALL season and we scored 4 in one game like Pep said. Napoli would destroy this current Arsenal side.

We are our own worst enemy. Show up, work hard, play with focus and determination and we’ll win comfortably IMO.

Their defense is penetrable. Conceded 13 goals in the league. Lost to Watford and had to come back to beat Swansea.

Ederson

Walker
Otamendi
Stones
Delph

Fernandinho
Gundogan
D. Silva

Sterling
Jesus
Sane

Subs: Bravo, Mangala, Danilo, Bernardo, De Bruyne, Aguero, Foden

De Bruyne looked tired and played 90 min against Napoli and West Brom both, would be shocked if he starts. Gundogan keeps his place and has more energy right now. Jesus comes back in for Aguero. Some posters here need to get the idea that we have starters and back ups out of their heads because that is simply not the case. The only reason that Bernardo isn’t starting more league games is because Pep wants to ease him, well see the benefits of this treatment come January just like we did with Sane last season.

What a strong squad we have. Walker, David and Jesus to come back in fresh.

We can bring on Aguero, Bernardo amazing.

If we are winning I would give Foden some minutes towards the end (10-15 min). Would mean the world to him and he deserves it after his recent performances. I’m sure Yaya wouldn’t mind. It’s a small gesture to show how much we value him.

Going for 3-1 win for us.
Foden, thankfully, will get nowhere near this match. Not in the same league as the subs we could and should play. Giving him a game because he did well in an under 17 tournament and it “would mean the world to him”? Wouldn’t it to all of us? Thankfully, Pep ain’t the sentimental type.

I'd still be surprised regardless of how much sense it makes. Gundogan is only recently back from a serious injury and played 120 mins against Wolves to add to the other two mentioned. If it was a lower team at home I'd be inclined to agree. I can't see him risking it against Arsenal. De bruyne created goals from nothing and with him and Silva to worry about, they can't mark either out of the game. We will soon find out!

Absolutely crucial game this. Think the players will know that going into an international break potentially 7/8 points in the lead will be huge. Never easy against the arse but just think we will have a little too much.

Yep I agree. Early Sunday is tricky mind. Let's hope the cheap piss offer helps the team along!

They have been poor this season but Wenger always gets them fired up to face us and Sanchez/Ozil/Lacazette could cause problems for any team if they're on it. Wouldn't be surprised to see Sanchez dropped from the squad with Wenger saying his attitude isn't right or something of that nature.

Think we’ll smash them to be honest. I think we beat them everywhere on the pitch. We are better going forward, Sane and Sterling will cause them no end of trouble, we have a better midfield, and I think we are more solid at the back this season too. I don’t see who they can play to stop De Bruyne and Silva getting space. I’m not usually this confident against the top sides but I really don’t like the look of this Arsenal side at all. They’re miles behind.

Ozil will probably be the 1 left out.

Ozil gets criticism for half arsing it in big games but has had a couple of very good performances against us, would be happy to see him on the bench in favour of someone like Iwobi. Unfortunately I think Welbeck is injured so Wenger can't use him in front of Lacazette.
