He will want out asap, because another one of his myths is dying, according to the media he was a master tactician, he got dug out on that and every other bit of crap the media had everyone believe, the last bit of bull left is he takes 1 season to make the team his and then second season he delivers the league title, this season he knows his last bit of bull shi* will be gone

The longer he stays the better for us IMO. Every passing month he's damaging their reputation, god only knows what kind of strain he's putting on things internally, and this is all before the full meltdown.

Agree tommo...but i also think that he is heing found out as actually a very one dimensional, negative coach who plays shite football compared to the poetry that Pep produces.

Why would PSG want him? Undefeated at the top of Ligue 1. Through their CL group in style. Just spent 400 million on two of the most exciting attacking players in world football. And they're going to bring in a manager who'll have them feeding off knockdowns from a big lump and spending most of their time covering the full back?

Totally agree....PSG would do wisely to stay clear of him. Neymar and the rest of the flair players will be isolated in terms of tactics and playing style. Look at maureens time at Real as evidence because he did the same with ronaldo and the rest.

He is outdated, but good enough for a europa league win against mediocre opposition, which if you look back on, they were extremely lucky to reach the final of

Agreed. Unfortunately I don’t think he survives the full season.

Can the board be happy if he manages to get top 4 only??

Not much progress really, after spending so much £.

The only way I could see him keeping his job is if he pushes us all the way until the end and manages to win the FA cup. IMO this is almost impossible with their average squad.

In the CL they will get found out the first real team they face. This will probably be in the quarter finals because we all know who they will get next round.

Don’t think PEG wants to even stay there to be honest. Lives in a hotel room and doesn’t look too interested. He is praying for the sack and anticipating it. A major pay off and his name, like it or not, will still bring many new offers.

Even Ogden is in on the act now.

The air of discontent around Mourinho has been noticed within the club, however, and sources have spoken of not knowing which Mourinho will turn up at the Carrington training ground on a daily basis, whether it be the upbeat version or the moody one, prepared only to engage with his small group of assistants.

There is a view that Mourinho's demeanour is merely a reflection of his frustration at recent performances and results, with those prepared to observe the bigger picture pointing to United sitting second in the table and top of their Champions League group with a 100 percent record.

But the manager's outspoken comments about the club's supporters and thinly-veiled complaints about summer transfer dealings have not projected an image of a manager happy with his lot.

The main problem United have is...who else do they get?

There are certainly good managers out there, but nothing about this Manchester United board suggests to me they'll go and get an upcoming manager ready to revolutionise things and threaten us. The fact they went to Mourinho because we got Guardiola sums it all up. A manager they were on record as not wanting, who played the complete opposite to the "United way" and who had been hounded out of his last 2 clubs in disgrace.

They'd probably get Ancelotti who, nice as he is, isn't really up to it. He won't win league titles which is what they need.

They do need a big name but I believe the board’s hand will be forced.

When it is clear they are out of the title race and out of the CL, PEG will begin to turn on his players even more so. They will revolt and do everything to get him the sack.

They will probably go for Ancelotti. He won’t win titles but he is a big name and that’s more important for them.

Personally I hope he gets another season, he's the perfect antidote to anyone who says money buys success in football.

They've spent £648m on transfers since Ferguson left, I think Mourinho could take that above £1Bn and still fail to get near a title.

Really don't think they will sack him it will cost them £20m and they will wait for him to walk. They really should have realised what they had got themselves into when they celebrated a 0-0 at our place like they'd won the world cup!

Would love it. Hopefully you are right and he stays at least another year and spends another £150m on Basketball players.

Would set them back another few years.

Ray Parlour has just named a formidable United team. If they play this team in the "beauty and beast derby" I can see them winning comfortably.

Unfortunately there were 4 defenders , 4 midfield and 4 forwards. It was a scary strong team.

Oh he wont walk...he is to savvy in that respect. 2 things will happen -

1 - he makes it unbearable for them to continue with his services, using his usual tactics forcing his own move towards PSG

2 - they sack him, payoff made and he wins again and signs on at PSG and moans about the standards

What he didnt realise was that the club was in a mess prior to him arriving. He also didnt realise that even though he wanted the job, they didnt want him. He was a reactionary appointment to Pep turning up at our club.

Great to see what is going on at that place though : )

They did the same with Moyes and Van Gaal as soon as the rags started looking bad. When is one of these journalists going to write about the upper echelons of the club and the continuous terrible decisions they’ve made post May 2013. That’s the real story here, but instead they manage to throw consecutive managers under the bus and the club comes out unblemished.
