If VVD has any wits about him, he'd see what Pep has done with Stones and to some extent Otamendi and be all in, not only is Pep the best manager hands down, City are a far more stable club, with the clearest vision for the future, Liverpool have the stench of Monaco about them, and look like they're about to be raided by Barca for their best player, again.

In the space of 2 pages the deals been on then off based on a Southampton ITK and Le Tissier :D

I think if City "knew" he was off to Liverpool they wouldn't even be entertaining all this media bs, City always seem quick to send out information saying we think a player is overpriced / no chance of getting them etc, so i'm sure we'd know by now if City were not confident it could be done.

Either way i'm sure it will be sorted with us getting a good CB in.

I would offer 30-35 million to buy now but they can loan him back rest of season with no loan fee and we will pay wages? then bring him to the squad in summer and Vinny can either retire and take up a role at the club or carry on knowing he won't be first choice or if he wanted play on at another (maybe sister) club.

They're not playing him anyway due to him wanting to move, his wages for the rest of the season will be a million or two at best and that's about 25m below what they'll expect to get. Can't see that offer getting accepted really...

Depends on his work rate and attitude. He would have to work incredibly hard to shift otamendi and stones when he gets back fit. These two players have run through brick walls to improve and show pep they are worthy of a place. If he’s up for it then hell yeah but if he wants and easy ride and instant place in the team then he should go to Liverpool
