I'm remarkably unworried about either though.

The average needed is usually 86, and the way the chasing pack are doing their very best to throw in the towel, the 86 should do it. As long as we do the rags and chavs at our place, that should do it.

About 11 points for every 5 game block. That's three wins and two draws or four wins per block of 5.

Just doing some maths - lets say 10 wins 5 draws and 4 defeats. Take us to 90 points.

That's 35 points. Rags would need 16 wins from 18 games to beat it. Dropping only 6?

Yes assuming we don't have a 'I would love it if we beat them' style meltdown, it's getting to the point where it's really difficult to see us not winning the title from this point. I think the rags will drop plenty more points as well tbh

Even with a fair wind behind them I just can't see the rags getting past 86. Chelsea however might be able to hit 90. So we need 35 then it looks like to be fairly certain. If this is the required target we need 11 wins and two draws from 19 games so we can afford to lose 6 times. Can't see that happening to be honest particularly if we keep this run going until after Watford. Barring a rash of injuries and a massive implosion don't see how we could possibly lose it from there. Defeat at the dippers would be of little significance should it happen. Personaly I would expect that we should have this almost over the line by the time the Rags come to visit in April.

looking at whats left to play and home or away in my opinion we have 4-5 difficult games on paper where we could drop points.
Liverpool (a) chelsea (h) arsenal (a) spurs (a) and I am going to add everton (a) as they are belligerent twats when ot comes to us
if we get through liverpool, arsenal and chelsea especially with wins or draws then 30-35 points should do it.

our run in of the last 4 games are all easily winable also and if we can win it by or before the rags game then we should be able to rest key plyers if we are still in both FA cup and champions league to concentrate on those.

Chelsea won't get to ninety this season.

No way will they win 16 of their last 18.
