Well in that case he wont last 5 mins and it will be a disaster. have you seen him in that role for Arsenal? Don't tell me that it will be much better under Pep because he will be happy.
So by your reckoning we are buying him for a position were we have 2 players for one place already, and not covering the position were we really only have 2 players for 2 positions. I'm not counting Bernardo he isn't a wide forward and will eventually end up in Silva's position.

Alexis loses the ball 9 times out of 10 when he dribbles which is why Pep either has to play him as an out and out striker or play him deeper and use his passing range.

He'll last 5 mins as a wide forward. It's how he plays now at Arsenal but it's a disaster. He just loses the ball continually for Arsenal and holds their play up. That would drive Pep mad, but he must see a role for him. I hope Pep is being blinded here by his love for his former player.

Have you not considered that the way Pep told Sanchez to play at Barcelona (and similarly, how he will tell him to play at City) could be different from the way Wenger tells him to play for Arsenal? For one, he's in completely different situations at all clubs. I'd say he's a very big fish at Arsenal with a lot of pressure to both create and score goals, which could put him in more likely positions to lose possession (similarly to how Otamendi has much better pass accuracy than KDB this season). At Barca (and City) he will have a lot more complimentary players around him.

Sane is one of my favourite players he has dipped a bit recently , Sanchez gives us 3 players for 2 wing positions Sterling/Sane /Sanchez can rotate and rest and he is able to also cover at centre forward an absolute winner for cheap money . Shame he is not a little younger as I prefer younger players but he is world class one of the best players to have played in the league

Right now Sané has better stats than Sanchez

Sane is playing for a team flying high in all competitions and being provided the goods from Silva & KDB. Sanchez is playing in a team (Where he doesn't want to be) 6th in Prem out of FA Cup and only in the Europa and being fed from Ozil & Jack fucking Wilshire.

Sanchez at this moment is a better player than Sane.

Miles and miles and miles, IMHO. Sane has been very poor recently. We all know he's got talent but his drop off has been awful.
Sané looks fatigued. He hasn't performed well since mid december, so to bring in Alexis would give him time to recover his form to the knockout stages and the run in.

This season, yes. But Sanchez has mentally checked out. We can't judge him on this campaign when he doesn't want to be there. He's playing in a far worse team than Sané too, and if Sanchez played brilliantly this season, got them to the top 3 in the league and won them the Community Shield, what would be the chances of Arsenal letting him go in January? Close to zero, I'd imagine, and that's probably playing on his mind.

Sané's last run of really good performances ended away at West Brom when he scored the opener. Since then he's occasionally popped up with goals and assists (Tottenham and Burnley games) but has been off it on the whole.

I'm not arsed about stats. Adding Sanchez to the forward line gives us a top quality addition that keeps them all fighting for places. He could be the difference to winning the champions league or missing out. We need him ASAP.

I see him rotating with Sane and Sterling, not Jesus and Kun as people seem to think.[/QUOTE]

Probably, but he is by far the best third option for CF if we get him.

Sane looks a much better player in the games Silva plays, who wouldn't. In the long term Sane will be better than Sanchez but he can't play 60 games a season, neither can Sterling. Having Sanchez for a couple of years will help the team an it will help Sane and Sterling as well.
