Who would have ever thought that beating our little team would be considered a great achievement, we have come a long way!

No doubt Victimpool will try and close our midfield down to try and stifle our playmakers. Merlin & KDB will find the space, we MUST take our chances. Huge work rate from all will be needed for this, they counter quickly and actually take their chances. This will probably be Edersons hardest game, he will also be getting shit from the Candlepool idiots no doubt. All we can do is play our game, they will have done their homework, score early and shut them up. The crowd and atmosphere will play a big part in this. I think we might sneak it as they have a couple out and if we move the ball quickly. I really hope Sane shows his class here, and take the focus away from Razza, who no doubt will be the target of abuse, hopefully he won’t crumble. If he does, he needs to come off quickly.
Tough team to pick, Bernardo or Razza?? Would love to see Razza come on and fire the winner in front of the Kop. Bitter sweet revenge!
Come on City !!!!!

I know we have a terrible record at anfield but we are playing fantastic football when we play our best XI

THIS IS ANFIELD < WE ARE CITY
No fear we can do it

We’re going to need to weather an early storm tomorrow. They will come at us from kickoff so it’s vital we don’t let them score early and get the crowd into it.

They do that it’s suicide, run themselves into the ground and pick them off when they are blowing in the second half.

Or scenario two, they sit deep we patiently knock it around and take our chances when it comes.

Either way the dippers are fucked, no amount of Norwegians singing Ynwa on the kop can save them.

Definitely have to be so vigilant early on by getting our passing game in tune and no sloppiness whatsoever . They will press us high up and Pep should have the boys ready for this . First 20-30 they will want to upset us no doubt about it so extreme caution advised . Napoli tried to do the same in the CL match and very nearly succeeded but we adapted so well . The gaps will eventually begin to show as long as we get into our game quickly . This could be nervy to watch but if we do what we plan to do i.e. Possession , high completion of passes , winning ball back immediately when we lose it , then we will be fine .

Bollox to the crowd. The idea that a bunch of candle waving hubcap robbers are supposed to scare the living daylights
out of any visiting team, is a self perpetuated myth constantly parroted by the Dippers as though it's part
of some ancient pagan curse. They are no different to any other barracking crowd, but being in the grip of a cult
means all rationality is dismissed, and they've convinced themselves that opposing teams are shitting themselves at
being shouted at by people with an accent akin to coughing up phlegm whilst strangling a cockerel.
2-0 City.

Every chance they'll begin at 200 mph and run out if ideas and energy around 25 mins when we'll take control of the game and run out comfy winners especially if we keep a clean sheet in their speedy period.
