Alexis Sanchez

That Woodward piece shows how far United have sunk. Desperate to use their media pals to score victories anywhere they think they can do so by moving the goalposts.

Something even they have not managed to get referees to do for them yet on the pitch where it makes a difference to who wins what.

Hopefully we have some reporters on side enough to argue the tosh.

Give it a day or two, and it will be the Chilean Miner's who persuaded Dirty to sign on at the swamp.

As other's have stated from various media outlets, the Rags PR machine and their media gimps are in free flow.

Rehashed from the MUEN apparently.

Daily and Sunday Express.

Alexis Sanchez to Man Utd: Ed Woodward feels Man City and Chelsea have been humiliated

MANCHESTER UNITED chief Ed Woodward feels the club have embarrassed Manchester City and Chelsea with their transfer activity in recent months, with Alexis Sanchez primed to move to Old Trafford.

Manchester United look set to win the race for Sanchez with the Arsenal star set to move to Old Trafford in a deal that could end up costing around £180million.

It will represent quite a coup for the Red Devils, landing one of the best players in the top flight and weakening Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal in the process.

And the Manchester Evening News say Manchester United vice-chairman Woodward feels the deal will humiliate Manchester City and Chelsea.

Looks like tomorrow for the announcement..according to that Maks, United are flying Mkhi to London then the same plane is bringing Sanchez + Family to Manchester :D Poor Mkhi..

This is taken from Facebook - argument between my mate and his rag mate who posted this:

ManCity offer to Sanchez

£13m a year
£30m signing fee if Jul
£15m signing fee if Jan, £20m to Arsenal

ManUtd offer to Sanchez

£14m a year
£5m to agent
Mkhitaryan to Arsenal, no fee to Arsenal

Ed Woodward just did it better.

Take the shame.

Pmsl

They offer him 14k Net!

We offered him 200k a week and they are offering 400-500k a wekk

They're doing the 'we won the transfer window' thing again.

Dear me.

That's what is so mind blowing about this. They are hurting so much that we are smashing the league that they deem it right to break the bank to get one of our targets just to try to stay relevant. As if by doing so they somehow 'win' something. Gormless Neville on 5 live earlier somehow trying to claim it as a victory over City. How the mighty have fallen.

Our 13m was before tax

their 14m is after tax

Huge difference

Theyre also putting down a 20m sign on bonus. Those numbers are BS.

Do you think he will get a cold the night before the derby? He has to know the reception he will face. Though the best way is to hammer United. Then he will really know what a mistake he made.

What a grubby little mercenary Sanchez is. It shows how worried the rags are by us to blow this sort of money on someone nearly 30 who hasn't showed any real world class form for well over a year now. I seriously hope he crashes and burns the devious little shit!

Que the we need to give him more time to settle in come seasons end but strengthening the squad in attack by bringing in the likes Bales or Griezmann makes sense because Zlaten is no more is imperative.

Rashford , Martial and Lingard you say ? , well they were very important players in the development of the team under Mou but we wish them well.

I do hope City show Woodward just how 'humiliated' they feel on Saturday by beating Newcastle 10 -0.

PSG did not quite make it tonight but they too were presumably humiliated as they wouldn't match this money for Sanchez. Nor Bayern Munich. Seems he forgot them in his list.

They were humiliated by the Sick Swan.
Humiliated in the semi.
Humiliated by 93.20.
Humiliated by having to take the bloody daft flag down.
Humiliated by us getting Pep.
Humiliated by parking the bus which didn't stop us.
Humiliated by The Gap.

They had to do something, the great thing is this is the best they could come up with.

Realistically he's going for the money...no way would a good player like Sanchez want to play defensive football everytime they play a decent side.
If the rags are so desperate that they will spend an absolute fortune on a player who is reaching the end of his career then who gives a fuck.
For the wages and all the add ons ie agents fees and signing on fees then you could realistically buy a couple of top class players who would have a sell on value at the end of their contracts.
Don't get me wrong I rate Sanchez and if he was 26 then paying that sort of money would be ok but not at almost 30.
We would be better getting a defender in at the moment as cover and buying a top class DM in summer and maybe another forward too.
Let Sanchez count his cash and our players can count their trophies.
We have done the right thing in not paying way over the odds for him.
