Sorry late to the party but what's the latest please ?
They are saying on TS that Sterling was never part of the Sanchez deal.. when asked if this would damage the Pep / Sterling relationship they were forced to say why, he was never part of the plans....What's the wording on the Sterling u-turn by Talkshite and Sly Sports News.
Imagine starting a Sporys Talk Radio Station, only for it to end up being called Talk Shite. :-)
Never say never.....Wishful thinking, I fear.
I think many of us would agree without having any inside knowledge. Transfer has followed a well worn pattern.
I suspect you are correct, that they would have notified him of Arsenals interest, but I bet they told him he was still in Peps plans big time.If Arsenal had asked to take Sterling in part exchange for Sanchez, would the club have been obliged to tell Sterling? Don't players often have it written into their contracts that they have if to be notified if their club receive an offer for them? So if Sterling is away with England and someone from City contacts him (or his agent) to tell them that Arsenal want him (even though City do not want to sell), could that have been leaked to the media (perhaps by the agent).
