Basque country actually starts in south west France near where he was born. Some of his family are Basque. Thats why he can play for Bilbao

Been speaking with a Bilbao fan who says he is surprised we want AL. Says he would be a good signing for Everton.

Just read that Sociedad stopped their Basque only policy in 1989, previously they just took from their own province in the Basque country but Bilbao were pinching all the best players so they went international.

he broke his leg and was recovering with his clubs help,he was loyal to them and got last minute jitters,he was a kid,still is but sounds like he might be ready to take the step up now
