Yes. He's wanted out for ages. There's rumoured to have been agreement between club and player that if a suitable bid came in they would let him go, but that could just be talk.

Cheers mate.....wasnt sure why now would be any different but that answers the question for me....."if" agreement between club and player is in place to let him go, I could see this causing problems for the rest of the season....the "only" thing that makes me think this could happen, is the fact, he didnt train or travel with the squad for their next game...got to be something going on!;)

I agree that's his valuation but if we offer £70m now they will want £75m tomorrow after letting us sweat overnight. Think tomorrow it will be done at £65m plus £5m or something daft.

With all the doubters I look at it this way. Pep has proven how good he is at identifying who he wants in his team and in moulding them quickly to fit that team. A player with proven record in the PL has a head start and if Pep thinks he would work in his system I think he has earned my trust. So he has it.

I can see what you mean he does have a bit of the Nasri aura about him. Might just be the shit hair though, fingers crossed.

Plus, it's about these players proving they are good enough to play for City. Nobody would blink an eyelid if Pep's Barca signed him & sold him a year later if he didn't quite fit.

De Bruyne is arguably better on the right flank than anyone we have.

Pep won't play him there though.
