Burnley (A) Post Match Thread

We are vulnerable to any Tom, Dick and "Arry who has half a chance. If the chances aren't put away at one end and we continue to concede soft goals at the other despite the mammoth amount of possession, we are jackasses. And there will be harder games than this one. I've not checked the stats but did Burnley have the mandatory maximum of one chance?
They had more. Ben Mee should have scored with his free header from a corner, Ederson saved Mee's shot in the first half when Mee could have hit it harder, he saved another fierce shot and tipped it onto the poat in the second half, and there were maybe a couple of other half chances. That said, City should have scored six.

In my opinion he has, most players would get them goals In our team, Aguero for money is well off pace and if Jesus was fit don't think Sergio would get a look in
so why is no-one else in the team scoring 9 a month except raz maybe i've lost count, the whole team bar kev is having a dip, tired and grinding out after a very difficult period and we have very important players out injured,if you expect robots who never age or have dips then football is not the place to find them, sergio is all we got since gabby has been out a while and was also in a dip prior to injury so no-one knows which one would be playing or if they were paired again, jeez

Sterling reacts to situations, he either scores or misses.. He doesn't and never has possessed a footballing brain.

Agree with this. That's the difference between him and the two players we tried to sign. Not a criticism because he has saved us many times this season.

For my money, Aguero was shocking today, and has been for a while now, always too many touches in the opposition box for me, shoots when he can pass, passes when he can shoot, legend of our club without a doubt, but he has been well off the pace for a long time now, and no longer influences games
It's sad to see. It seems likely he'll be replaced in the summer, providing the club is confident they've identified the correct player to try to fill his boots.

Christ how do people cope with real life if they slag off all the players after a draw,we are still 13pts clear ffs
I often wonder who these saints are, who have perfect days, every day, at everything they do, players are human, I said before, they are well rewarded, but that doesn’t mean they suddenly become machines, our lads have done their best through a very tough schedule we should be happy where we are.

As annoyed as I am about his miss, and as frustrating as he has been, I just don't see how you can level this accusation at a football playing at the highest possible level.

Agreed,we are all supposed to be in this together, players and fans, act like it
anyhow i've had enough for today,we didn't lose so all is well

Wot a load of bollocks about Sergio. Only 3 days ago he was superb against wba. After the schedule the boys have had you have to expect a drop in stamina. It just caught us today after unfort not taking our chances and the tiredness kicking in. Sum of you need to look at yourselves. You shud be proud of the effort these guys put in.

So Sterling is a headless chicken in one of the most complex playing systems, all whilst being the top goal scorer in the team for most of the season before Kun overtook him? Ok then, seems reasonable...

Winning the Premier League & League cup will be a good send off for 3 of our most prestigious players ever to put the famous blue shirt on.

Vinny, Yaya & Aguero your time will be up come May.

Move over it's time for the new kids.

Always amusing how there is so many more pages in post match threads when City don't win.

Anyway, can be no accusations of the players not trying their hardest, it's natural to not be perfect all the time during a long season. 99 times out of 100 Sterling taps that in and another 3 points in the bag.

As for the criticism of Diaz.....good grief.

Agreed. Sterling has an incredible football brain, his runs are amazing. He just lacks technical ability at times.

I don't think it's anything to do with his technical ability. I believe concentration and confidence is his problem. Today's miss was down to concentration. I believe he thought it was in before it was
and took his eye off the ball.
