Do you really believe the league is over...?

It was over when we won at Old Trafford mate we have been that good.

Destroyed their mentality that day to even think of catching us up.
Yeah, I get that, but I’ve always had voice in my head saying “we could fuck this up if...” until the other week - now I’m more interested in getting the 100 goals for my bet, lmao.

Notice the common denominator in those slamming City fans for being big headed or over confident etc?

Yep it's the Rags and for some, it seems that all things rag override anything City, even when it comes to celebrating probably the greatest side we have ever had.

Its sad.
Outside of the forum I agree, but we have our on fans in this and the 'points' thread moaning about arrogance, premature celebrations, and now, fucking singing

The 'arrogance' of the fans?
I remember David Cross scoring a winner at Maine Road, third game of the season, to maintain our winning run. The Kippax were singing "we're going to win the league". We must have always had this arrogance? Or was it football fans enjoying the moment?

Spot on ! In the 'glory day's' of Peter Swales if we beat anyone decent we would chant were gonna win the league regularly even though we never really thought we would. Nothing wrong with that just a bit of joyous celebration ! As for the question, no weve got a bit of work to do yet with some tough games coming up but keep singing the song folks nothing wrong with that !

One thing that would do for us was injuries/suspensions and even yesterday missing so many players that 2nd half was majestic.

Domestic treble would do very very nicely this season thank you very much.

CL is the real tough one and you need as much luck as you do the skill to win it and funnily enough, we will have a far better chance in it if we are not going to win the league that season as we can put everything into it.

That said this side is majestic and who knows?

Social media pressure from Rag mates is all too much for some and its always about being seen in the right light by some.

Playing the kids is another one and you can tell those getting it in the ear by txt or twitter etc a mile off with what they come out with on here.

They need to either grow a set or switch off their phones

For us to cock it up now would take a collapse never seen before and this team is too good. I am always conscious of gettting too cocky but they are not as good as us it is as simple as that.

The domestic treble has to be our focus now.

I just hope City do not ease up. there was no sign of it yesterday, and I don't think it will happen. This team is capable of setting new points and goals records.

We should be able to beat chelsea's record points total, but I think 100 points will be beyond us.

Focus now switches to the Cups and getting our players fit.

Win everything should be our focus, it’s an open champions league this year. Will be interesting to see how the top sides in Europe try to stop us.

I don't think we will win the Champions league but the domestic treble is a very distinct possibility. And no one else has ever done it. Come on City.

this league is over and has been for weeks. 5 wins and a couple of draws is just way too easy for this lot of players

Fans don't want to be seen as cocky/arrogant so they say it isn't over. But why isn't it?
OK it's not over mathematically, but can you really envisage not picking up the points needed over the final 11 games? We have been the best team by some distance this season so it's not as though our lead is due to luck. - Injury time goals aren't lucky unless too long has been added. In fact you could almost argue we've been unlucky given the two jokers refereeing the games against Everton and Palace when we dropped points.
The only reasons I will accept for it not being over are the possibility of serious injury to key players, and burn-out if we go balls-deep in the FAC and CL.
We are watching something special. Fans of other clubs realise it, and City fans should as well.
