Who at MANU looked at the Juve of Pirlo and Vidal behind Pogba and Chiellini and Bonnuci as CBs and thought "right, I am going to break the world record fee for Pobga to play him in front of Herrera and Smalling and Jones will be the CBS". Hilarious.

Do they have any football men over there or are they all real estate salesmen.

Fellaini has agreed to a deal to join Besiktas despite Mourinho's pleas.

Not sure that's right. A few outlets have reported it, but nothing confirmed. Kristof Terreur, who's well connected on all things Belgian, has dismissed it.

That will be so fucking funny if true.

"So you have decided to leave us Marouane"

"What is it, Russian Oil money or did PSG tempt you with their money, or maybe one of the Italian teams has persuaded you they will challenge for the Champions League next season or the Chinese stepped in & offered you a king's ransom to finish your career there ? "

"What could possibly turn your head away from playing for the Special One & the famous Man Utd ?"

"I'm off to Besiktas".

That article indicates neither...........they are marketing men and shirt salesmen clearly - Edwoodwoodwood wanking himself stupid over revenue figures, sales forecasts and so on..... and they also have that plank in charge of the football transfer side too - long may it continue. Looks like Pogbad will join a long list of Messiah's recruited with a fanfare and discarded quickly in the last 5 years. Has to be said the loss of the GPC and all his heirarchy continues to hit them hard - great.

Their match day Doner kebabs are pretty good.

And you don't get half time entertainment like this at Old Scaffold....

If this goes on....and given Liverpool and spurs form and if Chelsea get back on track....can see them missing top 4 ....*fingers crossed
Yes their games at home to Chelsea and the Dippers will be crucial should they lose both of those games they will face an uphill battle.

Can’t stand Jose, but any trouble with Pogba is all on Pogba himself. He wants to play further up field and he’s refusing to adapt. Silva and De Bruyne have both adapted playing deeper than they used to play, they both look better than ever. £90m on a primadonna.

Interesting update

It is highly conspicuous that information was leaked from both camps on Wednesday night, and that’s a development that will only make things more complicated. Media known to be close to the Jorge Mendes camp suggested that Pogba had been put out by the signing of Alexis Sanchez, wanted a different position and that “ego lies at the core of the complaint”. L’Equipe meanwhile reported that the star has “regrets” about returning to Old Trafford. Both leaks suggest that the battle for hearts and minds has now begun.

Information received by The Independent after that loss at Spurs indicated that Pogba was genuinely unhappy and – in the heat of the moment at least – wouldn’t have objected to a transfer away. He was that put out. He still remains unhappy at his role in the team. That’s obvious.

All this Pogba stuff about being annoyed as he's being played out of position is a joke, like any player he plays where the manager wants and should give 100%, end of story

Warming up nicely just in time for his 3rd season.

They should, but at the same time if you're a flair player and all your manager wants is for you to run around like Kante then you're entitled to be a bit pissed off. Mourinho has form for this, he forced Arjen Robben out of Chelsea by constantly nagging him to track back and Hazard downed tools. It's poor management, but it's what he always does. He's only interested in the defensive side of the game so it's no surprise that pisses off the attacking players. Stifling creative players is never going to end well.

You can point to the shift that people like Kev put in, but do you think he'd be so willing to put that shift in if it didn't also mean he got so much freedom going forwards? If he was asked to just do that pressing but not take chances going forwards then he'd probably be in a huff as well.

Pogba only cares about Pogba, he is not a team player. He sees his reputation going down the pan and is not happy.

Pissed off in private maybe. Not leaking to the press via your agent. I'm damn sure not all City's players are ecstatic all the time either.

I have the impression that Pogba has proportionately longer legs and is more musclebound than Toure. Toure's gait is more shuffling in comparison with Pogba, with his knees kept lower, and that appears to allow him more control of his movement and position.

You're right that Toure could control the ball, whereas Pogba is (comparatively) kick-and-chase.

They're both big units, and tracking back quickly isn't going to be easy, but Toure learnt how to play at the back of midfield and/or defence; Pogba hasn't ever played there and isn't being given help on the pitch to learn there.
.,

Not having ago at you personally, but dont make me piss. Comparing Yaya to haircut 100. Yaya has been 10 times the player for us than raghies can ever hope that hewillbe for them.

Why didn't the suits at the swamp realise something like this was going to happen? It was pretty bloody obvious to myself and many many others on here that Carlton would have an unsettling effect on team morale, and so it has proved. Add Elton Sanchez to the mix, with his stroppy, childlike behaviour and exorbitant wage demands, mix all that up with the histrionics and tantrums of the single biggest prima donna in the history of European football (Maureen) and the resulting explosion is going to have such far-reaching consequences that people will be discussing the fall out in years and years to come.
And if Woodward did not anticipate what was going to happen with these three egotistical fuckwits at the same club at the same time, then he's either a very foolish man or an incompetent buffoon.

I think that what we are seeing at the swamp, the bitching, the in-fighting, the acrimony etc, is just scratching the surface. It is going to get a lot more uncomfortable for the rags the longer this goes on.
