Quite agree with all your comments, but it's been going on for just over 60 years now, not 30.

PEG is calling them out for their lies and hypocrisy, but do you seriously think that will change the media's fawning and sycophantic attitude to their greatest cash/clicks cow? They will do what they always do - get the brush out and sweep it under the carpet whilst saying "oh, that Jose, he's such a comedian", and carry on devoting more column inches to them than anyone else. They know it makes (financial) sense.
 
It would be really interesting to see how much or how little they get for him. I was really pleased when we failed to get him. He was crap when we played Juve in the CL and crap in the Euros.

More interested in his next haircut than his career. I am sure when he gets subbed it is for a pre-arranged appointment with his stylist. (I do not even bother as hair on the head is something other people are afflicted with).
 
Like most non-rags, I want Maureen to stay. I want him to be given 750 million so that he can blow the lot on another set of poor-to-average ageing mercenaries and still play the most godawful football since Pulis's heyday. I'd like Maureen to spunk the lot on Ryan Shawcross, Andy Carroll, Ade Akinfenwa, and maybe even coax Rory Delap out of retirement...and STILL not get even close to the top four.
