Yep, less the year he's just spent on remand, disappointing, here's hoping he drops dead soon.
He should never get out.
You can get in a right mess if you blindly apply consectuive sentencing. But I do think there should be an adjustment for the number of offences in some way so that someone who's committed 30 similar offences gets a longer sentence than someone who's committed 3.40 odd counts gets 30 years? Concurrent sentencing totally sends out the wrong message. If your one of those 40, you're dividing the total sentence by 40 and working out what he got for harming you. I know it's complicated but it's wrong.
Automatic remission is usually a third I believe so that's about 10 years off, meaning he should do just under 20 years when taking time on remand into account. But hopefully he'll be dead long before that point.Hmmm.
Does this mean he could get out in 15 years(ish)?

If that's the case, why don't they give a sentence and say that it will be served in full. Balls to this concept of "time off for good behaviour" - he wouldn't be there if he'd behaved in the first place. If he was anything other than a model prisoner, extend the sentence.Think judge said he would serve half.

Simples.
"Tough on cime and the causes of crime".As ever im at a loss as to how a judge can use the words "devils incarnate" to describe the offender and his "evil" crimes and then hand down a sentence that can see them out in half the time.
Evil bastard should have got a full life term and only that can be seen as justice to his victims and to the public, especially given his record.
I would be staggered if he lived another 15 years.
