Winning FA Cup for peg and united will not be achievement and success. Van Gaal won it and get sacked. For Arsenal, City, Chelsea and United fa cup is not achievement. For Spurs and Liverpool and young managers like Pochettino and Klopp it is success as their respective clubs did not won anything proper in last decade but for United, City, Chelsea, Arsenal success is either ucl semi-final and above or winning the league. So peg and united failed this season at best they will finish top 4 and win fa cup which is wenger's minimum.

That comes across as rather arrogant.

It’s not how I - and I’m sure many other City supporters - view winning the FA Cup.

He's bought into the Swamp mentality. Season starts they're gobbing about the maximum number of trophies, two, three, four, before they even have one under their belt. We've had four poured onto us this season because it was feasible. No talk from inside City - just win the next game. But MANUre, club and fans, will never jettison the notion of entitlement, and before the first transfer window closes they're counting the pots.
This ..and this....deluded fookers

They got carried away by last season when they got extremely lucky. Southampton battered them in the league cup final but lost and they won a Europa league that was the poorest I ever remember. That allowed them a back door entry into the champions league that they weren't ready for and didn't deserve.

It has been interesting to watch them since Ferguson retired, as a club but more importantly a fan base. The rags attract a certain type of person who supports them. Showy, boastful they are in it the reflected glory winning brings. Some of them have grown up knowing only success and trophies. This created the spoilt kid syndrome. Always being given everything they wanted and if the kid next door got a bigger toy then straight away they would be bought a bigger one still. They could then still be the main kid in the playground and all was well in their world. Ferguson's noisy neighbour's quote summed this mindset up perfectly.

The last few years their little world has imploded and like all spoilt kids getting a dose of reality the tantrums and sense of outrage are a joy to behold. As a consequence all their principles and bullshit myths are going out of the window in their desperate attempts to still be cool and relevant. Trophies they once sneered at as being below them are now called titles. Playing football the right way? Forget that, hoof it long so long as they win!! Anything to be known as winners, the top team, glory glory Man United!! Their pain is wonderful to see and long may it continue, at least as long as that despicable fucking banner hung at the swamp!
Inbloody deed!

There are also a handful of players in the dressing room who feel conned by the board.

United have purposely been delaying contract talks and utilising one year renewal options to avoid paying players more money until they have to.

This had caused a huge rift in the dressing room in light of the money some of them are on.

In particular, Rojo, Martial, Blind, De Gea, Herrera and Mata were/are being delayed.

Was bound to happen once they started paying Lukaku, Pogba, Big Nose and Sanchez the big dough.

Delaying contract talks with De Gea in order to save money might be one of the stupidest things they've ever done.

The man is quite literally the only thing between them being 2nd and 5th, with all the financial consequences that brings.

This post and your one before it I concur, spot on blue.

I think city supporters who are old enough to remember following us in the 80s and 90s can fully understand the depths of despair the club plunged to and the pain we suffered whilst the rags revelled at our misfortune and further demise,. How they enjoyed reminding us each time they gleefully changed the number on the banner in the ragford end, compounding our misery every time we went to the swamp or saw it on TV. The songs they sang like my old man and city are a massive club made me resent them even more, but I never once waivered from being a blue. I loved the club back then as much (if not more) than I do now, and their constant taunting and belittlement seemed to galvanise me even more.

Sometimes I wonder how things would of transpired to be if Dickov hadn't of scored that goal at Wembley in 99, but things would of been very different from a rags POV if Robins had not of scored the FA cup header that saved Fegie from the sack. Both were defining moments in our clubs history.

I think united fans took the clubs success under fergie for granted and their younger fans had never known anything but success.
There were times that such was the chasm of us and them(top4) I genuinely believed I'd never see us win another trophy since the distant memory of the 76 league cup win.

Nowadays, everyone knows we weren't there when we were shit, and our club was only founded in 2008. We have no history and we don't deserve our sugar daddy fortune and success as we are not entitled.

Tough shit, my heart fuckin pumps piss to all the rags who cannot accept that the league is all about money, never bothered them when they were buying camel lips and granny groper for 30 mil whilst we were signing players for a fraction of that.

I'm not arsed about becoming bigger than them, or that they have more trophies in their history than us. I'm over the blue moon that we are no longer in their shadow and winning trophies i thought we never would.

Fergie once quipped "not in my lifetime", and he was only refering to City becoming top dogs in Manchester. Many united fans boast we will never catch their trophy haul up, but Liverpool fans probably thought the same.
I doubt I'll be alive to see if we can catch them up, but maybe our younger fans be alive if it was to happen.

Meanwhile, I'll just continue to support the club i love and enjoy the great football on display. Every trophy we win is a bonus IMO. I'll let the rags worry about our continued rise to their dismal demise.

Mind the gap, it might get bigger; )

Well said, mate.

I feel the same about the trophies we win being a bonus.

He might be a shite player but he was more effective than Pogdonkey when he took his place, they were wide open when he came on.
I watched the first Sevilla goal carefully earlier. It's at 2:33 on the video.

Valencia had the ball by the touchline. There was no pressure on him but a Sevilla player was blocking the forward channel near the touchline. Pogba & Matic were stood in the centre circle but neither really moved towards Valencia to give him an option. Valencia plays a ball towards Sanchez but he's quite a way away and he underhits it. Sanchez and the Sevilla player marking him both run towards the ball but Sanchez looks half-hearted & lets the other player beat him.

So the Sevilla defender plays the ball to Vazquez. Matic has spotted the danger & moves towards Vazquez to intercept. Pogba meanwhile is stood on the same spot inside the centre circle, looking to the right and not moving. Sarabia is behind Pogba & level with him, about 5 yards away. Pogba has no idea he's there as he's ball watching. Vazquez gets the ball and Matic again puts in a half-hearted effort at tackling but Vazquez easily evades him and moves infield. Sarabia sees an opportunity and starts to move upfield while Pogba is rooted to the spot, still in the centre circle and with no idea what's happening beind him. Instead of converging on Vazquez and trying to win the ball back, the Utd players retreat but Pogba's still in the same place inside the centre circle and thinking about where to go.

But Sarabia's now 10 yards in front of Pogba and no one's near him. Vazquez plays a simple ball to him and Pogba suddenly cottons on that his man has got away from him but instead of sprinting back, he starts a gentle jog. Sarabia has plenty of time and space to play the ball into Ben Yedder, who does the rest.

Come on PB. Cut the lad some slack. It's a 24 hr job thinking about his next haircut and dance routine! Not in his mind should the trivialities of a football match stop him from thinking about his next social media post.

They're so doubtful about his approach that they gave him a contract extension. Typical rag boardroom, not able to look beyond the next transfer window.

This is quite clever PR, appearing to acknowledge a problem is to emasculate it, without seriously trying to solve it.

It's the equivalent of "I feel your pain" which is all very nice, but does nothing to alleviate it.

I remember that. They only let a certain amount of us fans in to Albert Square so luckily enough myself, the wife and kids got their early enough to queue to get in. When i spotted Tevez hoisting that sign up i couldnt stop laughing - quality
