He did an interview when he took the United job saying he could use all of Man United's failings since Ferguson left as excuses, but he won't, because he's better than that, and united are better than that....

I guess 18 months changes a lot of things.

Oh please please find those quotes. Would go down better than the we don't talk about injuries montage.

th

On of my favourite moments in nearly 50 years of following City.

See some press and rags are trying to spin it as Jose coming out fighting and showing strength.

Deluded ****s
Not quite being greeted with the same scorn and ridicule as the Raffa meltdown, is it? Yet it was every bit as bad.

And that press conference just confirms that Pep has officially beaten him up badly.

He's finished Maureens career right there.

Fuckin quality watching their fans and manager have an epic meltdown.

Mourinho the Master Of Misdirection does it again .... eccentric rant focussing on himself and drawing attention away from their exit from the CL.

However, let us all remind ourselves .... they DID get beat .... at home .... by unfancied Sevilla!!!

One of the best posts I’ve read on here for a while,
Sums up everything about how I feel about City and THEM.

This Saturday I’m out with the wife and her friends and there husbands both Scummers,
I never mention the football because can’t be arsed conversing with these 2 armchair gobshites , coz it always comes to 20 times yawn yawn yawn.
So usually just leave it alone, but after our loss to the Dippers the 1st texts where from these 2 trying to take the piss I didn’t bite
Just kept my powder dry for the future,
Well Saturday is the future,
So can see some falling out between me and the wife coz they are having it.
1st round on me bottles of Bluemoon with a slice of Seville orange in the top and its going cost 16 quid.

That’s just for starters.
You brutal bastard, love it hahahahaha.

Mourinho speaks the unpalatable truth that the British media do not want to hear. Firstly, the rags are not a European Great like Real Madrid. Their sporadic success was mostly down to luck. Secondly, they are now an inferior club to City and have been for sometime.

This all day.

I have never watched a United team in my life and thought man-for-man, this is one of the best teams in Europe. They were always the lucky, plucky underdogs with a miracle worker for a manager.

Mourinho’s right about what he’s saying though. United have got a big fan base but they’re not on the level of Barca, Real, Bayern, Juve in terms of producing great sides who are consistently favourites for the Champions League (unlike City this season for example). Every time they’ve won it, they’ve been the plucky underdogs punching above their weight. Mourinho must be pissed off the way ex-United players talk about them in the media as if they’re Real Madrid when Mourinho himself knows what it’s like to manage a club of that size.

The reality is that for each of the teams mentioned they have a better CL record than the rags and the countries in question don't have a sycophantic media continuously pushing one team as being beyond reproach. Internally, it gives the impression that the rags and the dippers are the only choices, outside the UK it’s City that they want to watch.
