Here is a nice one from the Mail online...........

'But the Etihad club have become notorious for smaller than expected attendances at their stadium'. !!

According to them Liverpool sold out , wait for it................. within minutes of the tickets going on sale whereas we have not sold out. Oh the bitterness flows strongly in this one.

Journalists by and large really are the scum of society. It takes a special type of person to be a journalist - and not the type of person I'd like to know personally.

In the Times today in the match report on England's game last night says
'Raheem Sterling was comfortably the Man of the Match' and raves about his performance.
On the next page Alyson Rudd marks him a 6/10 whilst Lingard & Jordan Henderson are both marked a 7.
It's just a complete joke!

Alyson Rudd is hilarious :) the Times journos picked their world cup starting 11s today - all included Walker - no surprise there. Oh, there was one exception - Alyson Rudd she went for Trippier over Walker " simply because he looks so comfortable in an England shirt" WTF

In the meanwhile City get higher attenances than Liverpool even after the expansion of Anfield.

Alyson Rudd isnt a journalist shes an agony aunt

The media are getting in to full swing ahead of the next few weeks. Jesus leaving, stones not up to it, can’t fill our ground all in the space of one afternoon. Got a feeling it’s only going to get worse over the next 2 weeks.

I never think of these as journalists, at least not in the ‘Woodward and Bernstein’ sense of the word.
They are,for the most part, scribblers who use their positions to air their petty grievances and prejudices, while imagining that they are ‘opinion makers’ and controversial thinkers.
I’ve known a few, and the most creative writing from them comes when it’s time to fill in the expenses- particularly the bar-bills.

This empty seats myth does my head in. It was started by desperate united fans years ago when they realised they had nothing else to take the piss out of us for. And now it's seen as fact that we can't fill our ground. Its total and utter bollocks. We are in the top 10 best supported teams in Europe.

Just shows how powerful the Internet is in peddling fake news. We have been one of the best supported clubs in England for over 100 years, mostly in the top five. We got a higher attendance for our last European match against Basel (49,000) than Liverpool did for their last one Porto (48,000). No one peddles myths like Liverpool fans. They were comfortably the second team in Merseyside (behind Everton) before the 1960s.
Modern-day football fans are ignorant about the game's real history.

Remember when some forum members on here slated and ridiculed other forum members by saying there wasn't an agenda against City, and it was all in our minds?

What's this then?

It's not even subtle. It's as blatant as it can be.

Another attack by Talk Shite on our club and on our fanbase.

And of course, opposition fans will love it.

Once again it continues the myth that City can't sell out, even though tickets sold out today, 2 weeks before the match.

So, do you think Talk Shite will back track, apologise, and write an article stating City have sold out the match 2 weeks in advance?

Not a f***ing chance.

I've copied the article only to show how disgusting it is. As for a link, forget it.

Manchester City v Liverpool: Premier League leaders struggling to sell Etihad tickets for Champions League quarter-final

Anfield will be a full house when Manchester City visit for their Champions League quarter-final first leg clash against Liverpool, but there is a good chance the second-leg will NOT be watched by a capacity crowd.

Many Liverpool fans were left disappointed as they failed to buy tickets for the first-leg despite having a solid purchase history for Liverpool’s European matches.

They sold like gold dust and numerous supporters have had to accept they will not be able to catch their team in the flesh against the Premier League champions-elect.

However, the return leg, which will be played at the Etihad, is not facing the same demand.

In fact, home tickets to watch Pep Guardiola’s side have not yet sold out, and they went on general sale on Monday; according to the Liverpool Echo, they are actually still on sale!

City fans may not like it, but they need to prepare for further calls that their ground is really called the ‘Emptihad'.

Bet the clubs media department do sweet fuck all as usual.

The reason we get attacked so much is because there’s no retaliation.

Tell Talksport they’re not welcome at the ground for the game now and for the foreseeable future.

Or better yet just sue the ****s for slander.

An opinion piece is one thing but they’re just blatantly lying now.

Amen to that.

Many of the people you see perpetuating it on social media are foreigners who never go to games yet they don't see the irony, I almost feel embarrassed for them!
