We've won it 6 times ..new Liverpool song before We've even played them.. come on City so can't wait for this one
Huge game for whoever plays left back. In the first game, the space between Otamendi and Mendy was ruthlessly exploited, whereas in the second game, they funneled all our play onto Delph, before the injury, and then swarmed all over him. His hesitancy and lack of aggression arguably cost us the opening goal.
I hope we go with Danilo in there, with Silva and Sane making supporting angles. Indeed, switch Jesus for Aguero, and the starting eleven that won at the Emirates would do.
Surely the result on Wed will determine what team is put out for the ragsSo you think he'll risk Fernandinho against the rags? I don't. I think KDB and Walker will be rested as well. And possibly Silva.
Bernardo, Danilo, Zinchenko and Gundogan will almost certainly play against the rags IMO.
As fans, we don't usually look forward to our visits to Goodison..........Never confident going to Anfield but after that first half against Everton, I am strangely optimistic that we will finally win there. I think it's going to finish something like 3-1 or 4-2 to City.
I thought Mendy was very poor defensively in the first part of that gameHuge game for whoever plays left back. Salah is ridiculously physically strong, great technique and in a scoring run, but based on what I've seen he doesn't leave defenders trailing in a leg race like Raheem does. Then again, he doesn't need to - he does all his work in and around the box. Straight line quick-ish, yes, quicker than average on the ball, yes, but blisteringly quick, no. None of the speed tables I've seen have him in the top ten. Not sure how Pep will prepare for him. Probably a case of impose our game and the rest takes care of itself. We converge on the guy with the ball - whoever that may be.I think we’ll see Danilo start as well. Delph hasn’t played, let alone started in a long time so I can’t see him getting nod here. Salah would destory Zinchenko so he’s not starting either. Pep tried Laporte vs Everton but he looked slow there IMO, so risky to start him against such a pacey player. Danilo is best option and Salah likes to cut inside so it should help Danilo being that he’s right footed.

I don't understand this attitude - not aimed especially at you, there are plenty of other examples on this thread. Why assume that any player is going to continue to play badly against a certain team because he's had a few poor games previously? By that logic the whole team may as well not turn up given the club's abysmal record at Anfield.I wouldn't start Sterling as his head isn't right at Anfield.
Don't understand all you like. He's played there 3 times and been , well, it can best be described as rubbish, 3 times. Head just not right on 3 occasions.I don't understand this attitude - not aimed especially at you, there are plenty of other examples on this thread. Sterling has been a key player this season and he was far from the only one to have a poor game in the 4-3 defeat. I'm sure Pep can make sure his head is right on Wednesday. Dave and Kompany starting will be the big difference from the last visit to Anfield.
The Redmen TV Preview:
