Thanks for that, but not a chance I will click on it.

Wise move. It’s the Irish Independent and caters to a market consisting almost solely of rags and dippers. The content on this occasion was particularly laughable. Stuff that only they (rags and dippers) would care about. How small we are, how we’re imposters at the top table, how the grand old guard have ruled for over a century, what happens when the Sheikh leaves, etc etc......

Some of them didn't have a pot to piss in a century ago

Oh dear, oh dear. I really resent giving them the click but will console myself that I normally avoid such articles.

As EB points out, the demographic for that publication will be Rags and Dippers. Journalistic integrity just does not exist in football coverage it seems.

Never mind that over the course of the last 100 years that they refer to City have been at the top table and still retain attendance records outside of Wembley. They talk about depth of support and refer to club's whose attendances have sunk to levels during my lifetime that City have not suffered with.

I recall someone posting a comment from a despairing Rag over at the Cafe who lived in Birmingham and was bemoaning that all the kids these days were wearing City tops and he didn't mean Birmingham. Our support will be growing world wide and playing the football we are, it will only continue.

Dine at the top table, we are going to fucking own it.

Can someone please copy and paste any clickbait to this thread please? They only post inaccurate articles to generate a response and traffic for adverts. Don't give them what they want.

We shouldn't encourage it, particularly The Sun - it's gutter journalism of the highest kind.

If it's the Times, Guardian, BBC etc. then post the link but not for the tabloids please and I'm sure the football journalists appreciate that stance from supporters.

They'll just threaten to sue the site for copyright/intellectual property theft, mirror have done so on a few occasions.

It sounds like a particularly poor piece. It sounds like one of those articles where its difficult to fathom if the article is written to drive clicks or the writer possesses the same stupid opinions as a number of his readers.

5Live: Some clown journo (from the NY Times I think) just said "Dele Ali is as effective as David Silva".

Wow!
Rory Smith, another poor journalist.

Chris Sutton when talking about the League game at the Etihad, Dippers for the first 30 mins battered us. FFS we winning before Mane was sent off, yes Liverpool we giving us a game but no way were City being overrun.

and mingolet made a great save from stones that would of made it 2-0

pretty simple really frank, the insinuation is that premier league clubs are reporting higher league attendances than the reality, but the article is almost exclusively about us.

so back to my original question

No idea really. Cannot answer that one.
