Just play our best team in both games
Yep. Win tomorrow and we will have more momentum and drive for Tuesday. Can’t be picking and choosing when to go all out especially when we are 3-0 down. Lose tomorrow and lose Tuesday and that’s a really shit scenario to swallow.

There can't be a better scenario for any club to win the title by beating their neighbours, albeit from a different council area!! Strongest team, weakest team, massaged team? I don't think it will matter - it has every nuance, every subtlety, every cock-up since 1894 chomping on the bit to be staged.

It won't be the perceived strength of the team that will count but the performance of the players, individually and collectively, whether we get the rub of the green, the bounce of the ball, both of which were sadly lacking during the week. Are we gonna suffer another onside goal chalked off, will the Swamp Donkeys attempt to do as many triple salchows with pike the minute they get into our area? Will Atkinson understand the written Laws of the Game and implement them without fear or favour? Too many variables! It's in the lap of the Gods! Get it won by HT, City!!

If Aguero is available, I'd go with:

Ederson
Danilo
Kompany (c)
Otamendi
Laporte
Fernandinho
De Bruyne
D.Silva
B.Silva
Sané
Aguero

Tomorrow is a once in a lifetime opportunity and a chance to rub every rag ****s face in it like they did to us for decades. Strongest side possible, win, great atmosphere and all buzzing for mission impossible on Tuesday nights.

Lose tmrw and the whole atmosphere will be very gloomy.

It a no brainier and I’m sure Pep will agree.

These players deserve the chance to be part of it. Best first 11 tomorrow. Hopefully Aguero will be fit

I agree - we need to play our strongest team to smash them out of sight and win the title in style and get the momentum back. On Tuesday we play the players that are fit and go again. They are all like racing snakes and can have a breather after Tuesday until we go again at Wembley v Spurs.

I’ve voted for a City win in the hope we put out a strong, focused side.

My nightmare scenario is a weakened side (and loss) on Sat, resulting in a dispirited showing v Dippers, followed by meh performance and another defeat to Spurs.

We shouldn't pin all on the CL. It’s now an absolute bonus if we go through. We should march on in the PL, hammer the raggy bastards and go on to smash those records. That would be a very satisfactory season in my book. Fizzling out like a wet fart would strip off the gloss.

Bluwhit seems to be suggesting that Dave’s not playing tomorrow which is a bad fucking start. If Kev gets rested as well, and we go with same kind of lightweight Gündoğan, Bernardo, Zinchenko type line up we used against Wolves and one or two others, we will get seriously bitten in the arse tomorrow. Not knocking Gunders & Co individually, but the drop off in drive and quality when any more than 1 (and 2 maximum) of Kev, Dave, Sergio or Leroy is missing is considerable, and given that in the 3 weeks since he injured it, Kun’s knee is apparently still carrying a non-specific diagnosis, I’m happy to take bets that he won’t be playing, I’ve got the horrible feeling that Pep is going to waste a glorious opportunity tomorrow with a bullshit team that will end with his second bullshit result in 3 days

Sorry but when you said he has appalling distribution it became obvious you weren't being serious. His attitude and application can be questioned (although I'm personally sure it's to do with being unmotivated and badly coached) but he has an incredible passing range and that's not really a matter of opinion.

Pogba will be a great player when he leaves that shitshow of a club, just like Falcao and Di Maria and just like Salah and KDB when they got away from Mourinho. There's a lot of reasons we wanted him when he was at Juventus, and they're all still there.

That's one of the best things about seeing him play badly and fall out with Mourinho...United can buy world class players, but they'll just waste them.
His passing is far too erratic for our style of play. He can pick a cracking pass one minute and the next he's hitting the corner flag or row z. Gives away possession far too much with his passing.

How anyone can see how Guardiola has improved the quality of our players in possession and think he wouldn't do the same to a player as technically gifted as Pogba amazes me.

Again, there's a reason Pep was interested in him when he was at Juve.

after peps embargo presser I'm going full team and a footballing lesson

Don't think the press conference comments had anything to do with United, he only brought it up at all because someone asked him about Raiola's dog comments, and it was right at the end.

It's just a leveller at Raiola. Pogba almost definitely wouldn't have started tomorrow anyway.

I didn't say Pep couldn't make him a better player. I think he has too many issues to deal with, mainly to do with his attitude and application, one of which is almost always trying the Hollywood ball. You see it differently. Fair enough but not for me, thanks.
