United (H) Post Match Thread

I’m sick of hearing about bent officials. It seems that anytime some team actually has a go at us we brick it and lose concentration.

I can only surmise that anyone not bothered by peps starting 11 for a game against the red shite in a title winning game isnt really a proper blue and i look forward to proving to me otherwise.
Today that game didnt mean as much to pep as it did to us and for that im really perturbed

To be fair - it wasn’t the selection that was the problem. We missed at least 4 sitters. We dominated them with the team selected. But I don’t care what anyone says, if the ref refuses to give us any decisions when rugby tackled & penalises us every time the opposition fall over; then overlook 2 clear pens & a sending off - your fucked whatever team you put out.

We’ll still win the league & if we do get a result on Tues then we’ll all be happy again.

Were you happy with not starting the game with a recognised striker ??

As I’ve said before VAR will just be another way of getting the end result the bent officials want.
Possibly, but it will be more difficult for them to deny ineptitude.
The video evidence will be there for all to see. I can never understand why it takes so long. Rugby have it nailed down to a few seconds.

Agreed, but I think the Otter has gone backwards without Stones beside him ( the Stones of early season at any rate)

That’s the problem. The stones of pre Dec Why can’t these defenders fucking concentrate. For most games they literally have nothing to do. They have the easiest job in the premier league playing for us with our possession but when push comes to shove they just can’t fucking concentrate properly and do their jobs properly. Midefield just as culpable. Who is tracking Pogba for goals 1/2? What are they doing for goal 3 which came from a free kick from our fuck up.

I’ve come back from that kick in the balls, clicked on this thread and found the first post is some fucking clown hankering for fucking Mancini?!?!?

For fucks sake. You ignorant prick.

was always goona happen, we were joking about it pre match in the crown n kettle, we lose mancini woll be mentioned.

I will say Pep doesn't understand city fans though, Europe is a bonus to us, most blues were not thinking about tuesday today and wanted 100% focus on the derby and league win, today was a once in a lifetime event and we fucked it up.

Pep will waffle on about what we have achieved, bit at present his record in black and white will be on a par with pellegrini trophy wise.

And I am not saying Pep isn't better than that because he is and this season the football is on a level above anything we have seen, but the history books won't care.

today morinho did one thing, push pogba forward, Pep did nothing to combat that till we were losing, he trusted his player, the same ones that went to pieces on wednesday, I don't blame Pep for today but the players though as at 2-1 they froze

PS I am pissed btw and reseve the right to disown any comment tomorrow ;-)

So gutted. Felt like we had lost a cup final. Although we will still go on to will the league, this has really put a stain on the forthcoming celebrations.

It has. Will be a huge anti-climax winning it away to West Ham than winning it against the rags.

Behave mate....you telling me once we do lift the league title you will sit back and go ‘oooh hold on a minute, we didnt win this against united’

Bollocks.....at the end of the day fortunes have changed as it used to be us who could only win a derby for the bragging rights with united then still going on to then lift a title.

Now the boot is on the other foot

Watching it back on MOTD....glutton for punishment. Trying hard to see the bigger picture but after today it's just not happening. Not at all optimistic for the next 2 games. We are dreadful at game management.

And piss poor decisions do not affect outcomes ?

We wasted chances - absolutely true. We were deprived of important decisions by poor refereeing - yes or no ?

Of course they bloody matter !!

Me too. He made a couple of wrong calls and it was obvious he wasnt going to do us any favours but far too much is being made of 50/50 stuff.

What disappointed me was that if Pep was managing Barcelona he would have played his best xi if in the same scenario playing Real
He didn't realise what today meant and he doesn't get us as a club at all.
He got today badly badly wrong.

We can bemoan decisions all day long but it doesn’t explain our defending. Wednesday and today both hideous as soon as the pressure builds.
Absolutely bang on. We knew, before the game that the rags main tactic today (indeed their only chance of getting a result imo) would be to buy as many free kicks, in and around our box as Atkinson could conceivably allow, without it looking too dodgy, and simply lump the ball in. Sadly the only ones who seemed to be totally unprepared for such tactics, (as it's clearly obvious that nothing at all was worked on in training beforehand to combat this strategy) were Pep & the players

I'm as pissed off as anybody with the result but perhaps "typical City" only lives on in the minds of us, the fans, not Pep and the players.

Think back to April 2013 - almost a perfect reverse of tonight, with Utd 15 points clear and cruising to the title. We won and closed the gap to 12 points with 7 games left. We enjoyed our victory and the rags were of course pissed off, but nobody seriously thought a Utd collapse was imminent, and when they eventually won the title it was in no way "stained".

Winning tonight would have been awesome but I honestly feel that winning it in two or three weeks will feel every bit as good.
