United (H) Post Match Thread

What fucks me off is all the complaining about atmosphere we have throughout the season, especially the pep comments about needing support. I'm in 117 and that's the best I've seen the ground in fucking ages that first half. And then the players come out for the second half and can't be fucking bothered?! I'm always singing, but everyone who bangs on about an atmosphere can fuck off if that's the response we gtfrom the players

Anyone got the balls to question Peps decisions over the last 6 or 7 days?

Doesn't matter blues. We were always going to struggle in this game. The trouble is we have a couple of awkward fixtures ahead, but at the end of the season we will be Champions and League Cup winners

And then we will have a Summer transfer window, and have Mendy back. We are going to get stronger and stronger.

Everything you say is 100% accurate.

The problem being is we have all wtnissed near on immaculate football all season which has translated into the rusluts it deserved. We have now not had the immaculate season.... that’s hard to take.

Not that it matters a damn, but as there was no foul given, doesn't this two footed, both feet off the ground, high, out of control challenge qualify for retrospective action?

Well we would like to think so but with gill watching in person he would have been happy with atkinson today, i expect fuck all to happen

It’s just one game when we were robbed by the ref & missed at least 3 chances. We outplayed them but can’t legislate for a shit ref.

There's a very good thread been started above (sorry but I don't know how to link to it). There is a pattern emerging which has to be resolved.
I agree about the piss poor/corrupt refereeing but we folded under pressure again which is a serious issue.

Not at the start of the 2nd half it wasn't.

It's hard to take how you slipped through the net.
If you support city I'll eat my fuckin hat.
I'm on you pal.

Not being clinical enough has been a consistent issue and bound to cost us from time to time and it has done big time in the last week.

Bottling two big games in a row raises all the old questions about the team’s mentality. The lack of composure today was as disgraceful as Atkinscum’s refereeing of the contest.

Don’t want to make pariah’s of individual players but a few will find it hard to sleep tonight.

Yep, I would challenge the whole setup on Thursday.
Today I was a bit wary especially when our wingers got the opportumity to go down the line but had to chevk back knowing there was no-one in the middle to cross to...

But I know Pep has experience of playing this formation and thought the team worked it out really well after 30 mins.

What I would challenge is two things:
1 - When 2-0 up against these tenacious and lucky t**ts, make sure ypu kerp everyone's head im the game for the second half.
2 - I believe there occasionally needs to be a private bollocking when attitudes/concentration slip.

Nightmare of a week. That’s all. And please don’t tell me to "get a grip", and that it’s been "the best season in the history of the club".There is not one poster on this forum with a modicum of intelligence who’s unaware of that. I fucking hate losing to the dippers, and there’s only one thing in my universe that’s worse: losing to the rags.On our own turf.

3. You talk out of your arse.
Gotcha.

Lots of weird emotions, mainly about how things have changed in Manchester. We've reduced the rags to crowing about one off games while we're winning trophies. But this is how it was for us and I used to love raining on their parade whenever we could in the dark days. Basically, I begrudge them any joy, however short lived and today we had a chance for a victory that would have become folklore in our history.

Yes we could pull of a miracle midweek but this was an opportunity missed. I'm not sure anyone at the club bar us, realise how significant an opportunity. Local rivalry is a poor second in the world of CFG and global aspirations.

Eat your hat then pal.

I think we’ve been near on perfect all season... in fact we have been perfect. Bad week that’s all but that bad week has prevented us doing things this team probablt deserves.

Just because I don’t post non stop doesn’t necessarily mean I don’t spend my life on this place... I’m the ultimate lurker

Get a fucking grip you Mary Ellen.
This has been without a shadow of doubt the best season we've ever witnessed for play and control of games.
Pmpl so see through.

What do you want him to do? We have the Champions League game against LIverpool on Tuesday. We have to prioritise.

Really? Trying to turn around a 0-3 down?

I don't think we had to prioritize the Liverpool game.

Still, we'll find out in 3 days whether it was worth it. My prediction: it wasn't.
