Not too worried about added time. I would just like our good goals too stand and penalties to be given. Sterling fouled at anfield by Robertson. Ashley Young hand ball v Utd and push on sterling last night. Ho, and goal at anfield and last night. Just want VARThat ref was a cheat simple as. He never even asked at the end of the first half how many additional minutes to the fourth officicial. Pep asked him how many realised there was some and ran on to confront the ref
He deliberately allowed liverpool slow it down at every chance . The goalie should have been booked after 20 minutes.
I agree what others said half the time he was not even watching the game and just guessed in Liverpool’s favour.
Rugby league has it's million pound game and can afford it. Why can't football in a game worth 100 s of millions. If it is transparent, the officials have nowhere to hide. I think Rugby have it spot on
Can anyone list what major pens or goals not given too us over this season.....it must be over a dozen now. Stretching all way back to Walker sending off v Everton for backing in . And sterling sent off v Bournemouth for celebrating exactly like Utd did on Saturday apart from no cards issued !Every football fan watches through their tinted specs, and everyone thinks refs are against them, but the decisions we've had since Pep arrived are really leaving a bad taste in the mouth and is more than just watching through tinted specs. It is happening too much to be coincidence, I thought these things were supposed to "even themselves out"?!?
Last season we had David Luiz on Aguero, Walker pushing Sterling in the back, good goal ruled out in the FA Cup semi. These are just off top of my head, there are plenty more.
This season started with nonsensical red cards being dished out. After that we had to endure at least one career threatening foul a game going unpunished. Then the Wigan game, and topped off by the last week where I can't remember so many bad decisions all going against one team.
I can't believe football is fixed or that there is some secret plan from UEFA, PL or Pgmol to stop us because that would surely become public at some point, (although that is exactly what UEFA are trying with FFP) but we are definitely not "liked" by the authorities and powers that be, so we never get those close calls. As mentioned in the examples above some of them aren't even close.
So what is it we have done wrong to upset them? Are we not allowed to be ambitious, play good football? Are we supposed to just allow Europe's elite to win because these teams established themselves in the 80's and 90's? (not sure what makes those decades so special!!) Or are there just too many people, in positions of relative power, that have affiliations with clubs or even still sit on the board of clubs that do not like us?
The Extra official behind the goal should have noticed we were in second tier behind the goal and spotted it without needing a replay he was yards away and must have seen it but very rarely do they make a decisionI can possibly see your point, however take the Milner offside goal tonight, on big screens it would be nigh on impossible to not change that decision. If you didn't, you'd be sacked on the spot as the uproar would be seismic. VAR will never be perfect, but it will put right the vast amount of incidents it gets involved in. At least it deserves a fair chance, before we right it off. Compared to the current state of play, its going to be 90% better at least. Just don't understand having seen what we've seen this season, how any Blue wouldn't want to give it a chance...
Absolutely agree with all off those pointsAgree. Offside is offside, just like scousers first goal last week, unlike our goal last week, unlike our second yesterday...
Yeah I saw that shocking decision onns par with Walkers red.The sooner VAR is brought in the better. Its not perfect as anyone who watched Macclesfield last Saturday on BT sport. Two players collide, Ebsfleet player goes down free kick harshly given against Macc player. Fourth official pipes up, ref sends off Macc player....Red overturned on appeal but that sending off cost Macc 2 points. WTF the fourth official thought he saw is anyones guess, so VAR is no guarantee of eradicating stupidity incompetence or down right cheating by officials from the game. Just make it more transparent and easy to see the extent of how bent it is.
Them bastards are stealing a living. They never make any calls and even when they do they’re 99% wrong. The Extra official behind the goal should have noticed we were in second tier behind the goal and spotted it without needing a replay he was yards away and must have seen it but very rarely do they make a decision
VAR isn't the answer, as it is still about opinion. Plus, the on field referee has to ask for the VAR decision. As far as I know, there is no mechanism for the players to ask for a decision to be reffered.
At least one ex ref (can't remember who) said no pen for the challenge on Aguero, so we'd still be left p*ssing in to the wind for most decisions.
Late on Gundogan to Sane I think, looked inside to me, but then again I am not a corrupt PL or UEFA referreeGenuine question bud what was the other disallowed go last night ?
The added time last night should have been a minimum of one and a half mins in the first half and five in the second. We got a total of two! Thats four and a half mins of play just chopped off! How can anyone at Uefa explain that in anything that approaches a satisfactory manner?
