Awful tonight.I'll blame it on tiredness.....

Awful really are you sure you wasnt watching the other sterling on the spurs bench??

Outstanding last night and scared the spurs defence to death most of the game scored the decisive goal as well to finish the game off some need perspective on sterling 17 premiership goals only 4 less than Kun and yet he gets ripped apart for missing chances....

He will only get better as he hits his peak in the next few years Pep knows that most of us fans know that seems some still dont know that....

Sané doesn't have an overlapping full back so has to hold his width more, Sterling has Walker covering the right wing giving him freedom to drift into the box.
Makes sense, we should see more Sane goals with Mendy then. As decent a job as Delph has done not having a like for like replacement for Mendy has inhibited some of or tactics, from overlapping to the freedom to go 3 at the back. Hopefully somebody maybe Angelino, not seen much of him can cover Mendy next season.

i disagree. There is a reason why he's not scored as many as Salah this season and that's because in front of goal, anyone telling the truth, isn't surprised anymore when he misses. I doubt there's a player out there with a longer blooper reel. Sane and Jesus are twice the player Sterling is.
Laughable

Yep,awful.

Other than the obvious criticism regarding the missed chances,he was half hearted in the challenge and took the easy option of throwing himself to the floor at every opportunity. He needs to be more forceful and show more willingness to engage the opposition when the going gets tough.

Frustrating yet again. Usual people will throw his numbers up as a defence whilst ignoring the obvious.

Frustrating but didn't let his head drop.

Silva's finishing isn't the best either remember.

Salah has improved his finishing at age 25 so there's no reason Sterling can't.

No,that should have been a red card,it was a shocker.

I'm talking about the several other occasions where he went down when anyone came within 6 inches of him.

amazed he's been at it for 14 years. sad when we could win the league today, guess some people have nothing better to do eh?

So because we can win the league we can’t comment on his woeful finishing yesterday. Don’t know the script sorry. Let me know what’s acceptable and on what days

I tagged you hours ago in the post match thread but you don't seem keen to celebrate the win, your first thought is to have a go at raz,sad

Missed chances you mean 2 shots he had that were well defended?

As for throwing himself about hahaha your either trolling or just dont like him as he is one of the strongest players out there concerning the battles he gets involved in when playing.

I celebrated it out last night thanks, thoroughly enjoyed it. I’ve said it before I know I’m not positive, I come on here to vent. I’ve used the comparison before but I’m like the person who will leave a shit review somewhere but never will leave a positive one. It’s how I am. What’s ignored in this thread is I come on 2/3 times this season praising him, nothing else as my views were strong on him and he was proving me wrong. Happy to accept when I’m wrong, very happy in fact.

At the end of the day it’s frustrating, I know many won’t have a bad word to say about the lad which is admirable in a way and probably down to the amount of shit he gets elsewhere so people are ultra defensive. Nobody can watch his chances in the last few games and not come to the conclusion he’s nowhere near world class in that position. To think anything else is pure delusion and I’m sure this will

He is indeed very strong which only adds to the frustration when he chooses not to display it,for those who claim they haven't witnessed such behaviour i suggest you take off the blue tints.

I don't like criticising the kid as i like him,he has suffered plenty of unwarranted abuse that,to his enormous credit,he has handled brilliantly.I simply want him to be as good as his potential because he can be a very special player,if he chooses.

it's not a case of hearing nothing against him but having balance,he scored yesterday so praise is due,he also missed some so that needs highlighting as well, you live in here to slag him off only,he is having his best season and he is a winger not a striker,i believe you just throw in negatives to get a reaction and trolling the place with the no-one is saying sorry to me bollocks on several threads the other night, best we ignore each other from now on

Sterling had a great game yesterday. Yes he is not the finisher Aguero is. He never will be. But he has improved so much this season he often gets himself in a goal scoring position. His goal scoring compared to last season had again improved immensely. At 23 I will just sit back and see where he will be in 2 or 3 years time. Same with Sane and Jesus btw.
