I like her but wouldn’t say she was cabinet material. But then neither was Rudd or Johnson or a swathe of non entities currently occupying the Govt. I’d have Abbott over Johnson or Davis or Fox any day of the week.

Abbott does seem to trigger people though especially the obsession with proving she is ‘racist’. Which is revealing if nothing else.

Nowt to do with the fact she’s a racist. More to do with the fact that she’s clinically stupid.

I wouldn’t have her clean my toilet.

What makes you like her out of interest?

What was remotely likeable about that interview? Does she appear knowledgeable? Did she appear intelligent? Did she seem like the sort of person that should be making decisions on the behalf of millions? Does she really seem like she should be a lawmaker?

Diane is best as a backbench MP who speaks her mind. As a shadow minister obliged to put forward the party line she is awkward and constrained. I don’t think a ministerial role is suited to her but as a constituency MP she is excellent. She is very knowledgeable and she isn’t stupid. I have honestly never in my adult life looked at parliament and thought so poorly of the lot of them as i do right now.

This Tory government and i use the term loosely are so poor, so out of touch with people that Labour should be absolute streets ahead and virtually walking into government at the next election but they arent and imo they won't because instead of concentrating on what it is a majority of the electorate want, they focus solely on themselves and appeasing the left and momentum and its a major turn off for so many that should be desperate to vote for them.

Rudd has rightly gone and the government is in a crisis over this and the best labour can do is put Abbott in front of a camera yet again for yet another car crash of an interview.

Im at a loss to try and even explain why and who thinks its a good idea to keep the women in such positions within the shadow cabinet but as i've said, it isnt about what's best for Labour anymore or the electorate and its everything to do with whats best for the left and momentum.

I dislike most politicians Tory and Labour, some are quite intelligent such as Gove but I still dislike him. Abbott is different as she is clearly quite thick! No way is she cut out to be a cabinet minister.

Valid points. Not sure Diane’s position is down to Momentum more that she is loyal to Corbyn and loyalty is then rewarded. Not unheard of in politics :)
