Etihad atmosphere

Huddersfield fans were loud, considering only 3,000 of them.

Just goes to show. Never about acoustics, about numbers.

The brass band was appalling and totally ruined the whole wait for me, another example of some corporate smart arse fuckwit thinking they know what's best again.

What did everyone think of it yesterday ? In my opinion would've been slightly better if the game was more entertaining and they didn't have that brass band at the end. But the atmosphere at the Liverpool game was much better i thought

Atmosphere is always better when we're up against the odds. Just how it is.

I was well and truly disgruntled with those plebs that ran onto the pitch, I had expectations to be in Manchester drinking beer and those shellfish feckers delayed it by 20 minutes...cnuts!!!

I'd have them decapitated and fed to the lions.

Was alright, I'm right next to the away fans so it's hard to gauge the rest of the stadium, was impressed with the Huddersfield fans though, they give it a go

so its going to be always shit then ? as we batter most teams. lets not kid ourselves its been shit in most of the big games swell even when its close. we need to do something to sort it out as its got worse every year now. doesnt really matter who we play ,what the score is...... apart from the odd game its been poor all season. i know I'm moaning, but i think most city fans feel the same.

110/111 get singing again. gone from being really loud to silent now for no apparent reason..

Didn't help that some numpty had gone for a shit with the PA mic in their back pocket. Ding Dong, shuffle shuffle, Ding Dong, shuffle.
I know what the fuck was that about. Then put up some notice about fire alarms. Think most people wondered what was going on that first half.

Ruined the whole event??
Fuck off...

I really don’t know what to do to inject some ”life/noise” into the Etihad atmosphere. Some people say the team should play well and the crowd will react likewise. Others say the fans should be supportive at the onset and the players will up their game. The latter was certainly the case v QPR. In the “old” days at Maine Road there seamed to be an inverse square law mentality in that the poorer we played the more vocal we became ( although not always supportive). Certainly it is a fact that the lower down in the division or league we went the bigger the crowd. We regularly filled the ground when we were in Division 1 in 1999.
It maybe that our expectations are now very high and failure to meet those results in crowd apathy.
Whatever the reasons we should get together a sizeable group of fans to advise the club to discuss these issues (and others) on a regular basis. I believe that the existing PR/Entertainment team are not up to the job and the City board need to rethink their future employment. Other clubs do much better with much less .
After saying all that what a great time to be a blue. The football this season has been magnificent along with the obvious friendship within the squad and the sportsmanship shown by City through the season.
The only really dark spots for me were the booing by Liverpool fans when Ederson was carried off at home (the first time I have witnessed that over many, many years) and my fear of being attacked at Liverpool before the CL Quarter Final at Anfield (incidentally, I think City should have refused to play that tie because of the “bus” incident. That would have made UEFA do something immediately rather that cover it up).

Can't find a pitch invasion thread. I was told how it wouldn't happen against Huddersfield after it happening in the Swansea game. Where are them people now? Embarrassment that was.

Oh not this again lol! Most of us said it shouldn't happen but there was always going to be the odd one and once one goes on more follow. The stewards pathetic attempts to catch the first one helped others decide to have a go.

The vast majority stayed in the stands, myself included and booed and chanted at the ones on the pitch to get off. The trophy presentation wasn't going to happen for a good while due to drug testing and tv interviews so I doubt it delayed things for long.
