Etihad atmosphere

We sit in North stand 138, I thought the atmosphere was good all game. A pity there were quite a few empty seats behind us when the game is sold out. Families preferring to do something else on a Sunday or those that have other commitments?

I can & am doing.

They clearly did cut down the crowd sound either by having a ducking, master compressor/ limiter threshold set to let through more Neville/Tyler & cut the crowd, on the ambience mics, or just by basically turning the mics down.

They also didn't seem to have any mics at all on the South stand, as I could clearly hear them (& was joining in) from the other end of the ground but could hear fuck all of that on tv.

If that was a Liverpool game, they would have it coming through loud and clear for 90 mins.
 
Deluded if you think Sky and BT don't maintain full control of their mics during the match. Sky are so anal about controlling the image, they care about things like camera cuts to the managers etc. They would never allow anything out of their control.

When they have Liverpool on it sounds deafening but then you can clearly hear one person shout something like 'fuck off' to a player when he should be getting drowned out by the sound.
 
Bar Anfield and St James Park, name me another stadium where the cameras continually focus on the crowd.

The myth about both supports, especially Liverpool's support will continue. Especially with a studio full of ex-Liverpool players as pundits.

Last season Liverpool were shit at home, and you could hear a pin drop everytime they either drew or lost to lower teams. No mention of the famous last season by anyone. Compare to this season.
 
I was in the Colin Bell stand 123 the atmosphere was amazing. And the poznan in the top tier was fantastic to watch well done south stand
 
What did everyone think of it yesterday ? In my opinion would've been slightly better if the game was more entertaining and they didn't have that brass band at the end. But the atmosphere at the Liverpool game was much better i thought
 
Atmosphere was ok yesterday, though the game was a bit of a dampener, most noise was calling the pitch invaders wankers :-)
