TV Series

Just watched the last episode of Homeland, what a let down. Really enjoyed this series as a whole but as a finale it really was poor and can’t see where it really progresses from there. Very disappointed.

The Rain (Season 1) on Netflix

Think it's originally a Danish production now dubbed into English (although you still have the option to watch it in it's original language with English subs)

Watchable but nothing special ( i much preferred The Dark, which i thought was a lot better)

6/10

Started watching this today but gave up. Perhaps I should have gone with the subtitles as the dubbed version is awful.
However when the kids open the door I think it set a precedent in which they continue to do other acts of stupidity

Likewise, just watched it tonight and it was certainly a disappointment.
That was some face Carrie pulled at the end.

If you can find something better to watch then it's probably worth giving a miss. It's okay to pass the time with but it's a typical run of the mill post apocalytic series with many of the concepts being done before in other series or films.

I usually like non-American produced Sci-fi productions as they tend not to have gaping plot holes or loads of irrevalent filler just to bump the number of episodes up.
As i said, Dark was a lot better, being more moodier and a more interesting concept. The only problem with it was that at times it could be difficult following (or identifying) the same characters over 3 different time lines.

Every season is comfortably better than the previous one Imo. But im speaking as someone that loved the first season. The show is very much a slow burner and doesnt really change pace too much throughout, familiar breaking bad characters showing up adds a lot to the show. If you don't enjoy season 1 then the show probably just isn't for you.
Well I'm half way through series 2 and I have to admit I am liking it more and more. Far more interested in Mikes story lines though, think I put off watching it for so long as I found it weird they'd make a spin off series based on one of the dullest characters of breaking bad.

Anyone watched Safe on Netflix yet? I like Michael C. Hall but watched the trailer and his English accent is putting me off it.

Next on my watch list but it’s another missing person show that’s putting me of it, I’ll give it a couple of episodes to see if it’s going to be any good.

Let us know how you get on with it. I've just started 3% season 2 (liked the first one) and got Versace and Godless on my list to watch next.

Just finished 3 seasons of Gomorrah and I'm worn out, those subtitles don't half take it out of you, glad I watched it as everyone had given it good reviews, didn't disappoint but I still think Love/Hate is about the best thing I've seen.

Think I might give Godless a go next, looks good and plenty on here have said it's decent.

Its wank, starts off silly and gets more and more ridiculous after each episode. Has some funny bits though, very tongue in cheek and enough twists to keep some people interested maybe, not for me though.
