I agree with all that. Jorginho is a passing machine but Fabinho reminds me of a peak Yaya in some respects and I’ve wanted him for ages as I wanted VVD too.

Not so sure.I think Jorginho will flat out replace Dinho. Dinho will be the back up now.
In 12 months time maybe, but not from the start. See Bernardo.I think Jorginho will flat out replace Dinho. Dinho will be the back up now.
He's a better fit to Pep's play than Dinho already given his characteristics. Not so sure.
Dinho was arguably our most consistent player last season. Added to that it will take any player the best part of a season to adapt a) to the premiership and b) to Guardiola’s style of play. Next season will be Jorginho’s settling in time...after that he may well take over as first choice but he will bloody well have to earn it.
I think Bernardo's case was that he took a lot of time to get what Pep wants, if the journos are to be believed. In 12 months time maybe, but not from the start. See Bernardo.
He'll get plenty of minutes, but won't take over straight off.
I’m not scared of Liverpool I just wanted VVD Fabinho and Fekir for us. It’s just coincidence that it looks like they will end up with all of them rather than them going to different clubs.
Well there are clearly plenty of experts on this forum who obviously disagree that Pep actually knows which players we need, so this season was clearly a fluke.
This.Think I'll leave it up to the man who's ripped the premier league a new one.
In what respects is he like peak Yaya?I agree with all that. Jorginho is a passing machine but Fabinho reminds me of a peak Yaya in some respects and I’ve wanted him for ages as I wanted VVD too.
No he wasn't. But we've already had this argument so idI agree to disagree :)Prime Yaya was benched by another 'passing machine' in Busquets for a reason, I watched every Barca game that season so remember it clearly. Busi was simply a much better pivot for a Guardiola team.
Thank you. I wondered why that was let slide :)Good player Fabinho, but not fit to lace an in his pomp Yaya's boots. Yaya was a game changer, Fabinho isn't.
Outside of VVD, I'll take J and M over F&FSo we get Van Dijk, that means we wouldn't have got Laporte. We get Fabinho, we don't get Jorginho. We get Fekir, we don't get Mahrez.
We can't have them all.

The same could be said about Lemar..What happened is this: PSG tried to sign Fabinho last season but Monaco refused to sell him and Lemar after losing so many players.Interesting considering Liverpool were in for Jorginho the past 3-4 months and gave up like 2-3 weeks ago when they learnt that he had his mind set on City. I'm assuming that's when they moved on to Fabinho. And this is not me pulling rumors out of my arse, but what was reported by Tier 1 Liverpool sources like Paul Joyce, Bascombe, Melissa Reddy, etc. Also love the fact that Fabinho has been trying to get out of Monaco for 2 seasons now, was linked to PSG, United, City, Juventus at various points but nobody bought him until now.
This. Fabinho doesn't have half the technical ability Yaya Touré has/had.No he wasn't. But we've already had this argument so idI agree to disagree :)
On the other note, Fabihno is nothing like Prime Yaya.
And you are going to hate this :) Jorghino is a better passer than prime Busi. Yeah I said it! :)
