You are probably right, but footballers, especially star players, do have big egos. You've only got to look back at Bale's interview after the European Cup Final "I have to play every week". As I said, that's why Pep is paid the big bucks.
Next season is probably the last for our oldies and most senior players, they will want to go out with another title win,the youngsters will be slapped down if their ego's get too big

They have all bought into peps rotation or we wouldn't have got 100pts and the newbies will join knowing the deal,we are in 4 comps and they will all get to play plenty,i see no problems ahead, pep has them all involved and committed and working as a close team/family,the greater good and not for themselves, that is the deal with pep, leave if you don't like it,i forsee no-one important leaving when they have a great chance of retaining the title
The lack of punctuation and spacing in your posts make my eyes bleed. Do have some mercy on your readers.

I'm sure its been said before (but I cant read through 695 pages), whilst its great that we are strengthening the squad, which was already scary good, there has to be concern about where the new guys are going to play and the effect on those who are going to be left out. Its been said that Jorginho is a replacement for Yaya but as the latter barely played last year thats not really the case. He will either replace Fernandinho or alternate with him, which means Gundo will struggle to make the bench. Mahrez plays a similar position to Bernardo and Sterling. Does that mean they lose out or does Bernardo switch roles to understudy Merlin ? if so, what does that do to the likes of Foden. Final thought, if we are going to play with two wingers (say Mahrez and Sane) that means only one of Sergio, Jesus and Sterling gets a start. Great problem to have no doubt, and the reason Pep is paid the big bucks, but there will be some unhappy campers.

I doubt we'll get the same game time out of Silva & Fernandinho next season. Considering their age, our style and both at the WC and likely to go far I highly doubt they'll have the legs they did this season. Sane & Sterling both had a flat spot, Aguero missing at the end of the season could have been costly. I think during late Jan till mid march we looked a little tired.

Two or three additions are perfect.

It really is that simple. I guess folks need to get there stress/worries/paranoia out there as a coping mechanism. But this is it, we’re approaching the zenith of our clubs existence, so let’s all try to enjoy this because it’s hard to imagine it getting any better!

Their greed is even bigger than their egos. If Bale can't find a club prepared to pay him more than he's being paid at Real then he'll be staying where he is regardless of whether he gets any starts or not.

Yep, I agree. This window isn't really about 'changing' the squad, more-so about ensuring we've got future positions covered. We've not heard of one single player moan about lack of game-time whilst Pep has been at the helm, and I don't really expect that to change. There are no big fish in a small pond at this club - the owners will simply not allow their long term plan to be disrupted by either ego's or prima donnas - and rightly so.

As pointed out by a mate, Mahrez is the ideal kind of player. Good but not a guaranteed starter like a Hazard etc... That means levels don't drop (if he signs) when selected, but also doesn't automatically start over Sane/Sterling, who have the potential to develop even more next season.

Champs league quarter final at Anfield, who would they prefer to see on the right of midfield? Gundogan or Mahrez?
Robertson wouldn't have come past the half way line, because of the threat of a more attacking player.

Who would Hazard dislodge in our team to be a guaranteed starter?
