He’s never played under any pressure before IMO as Leicester have been over achieving last few years and have no realistic expectations as a club to win anything so he can play the way he does with freedom and no pressure, Things will be different here IMO, he’s very good but also a gamble/risk which could go wrong but I trust in the greatest manager in the world so gotta go with it I suppose. Transfer market has gone mad.

Any transfer is a gamble, even Hazard would be. Look at Sanchez & Pogba so far at Utd.

Mahrez ticks all the boxes for a player who should suit us.

I think others have already stated but we don't have a first 11 anymore

We have a squad of very good players who could all get first team selection for any given game

Players have loss of form and injuries so not one player could definitely 100% say they are in first 11.

Mahrez adds to our squad and our first team, he will get many games and be on the bench may games but he adds to our intent.
 
We are the perfect fit for Mahrez. His stats over the last few seasons are similar to Hazard's. He currently plays in a more direct team who typically has a pragmatic approach to games. If he comes to City he will be part of a team that plays with an attacking intent and he will improve playing alongside better players.

You know what? I've read quite a lot of your twaddle and, consequently, I'm not entirely sure you ARE entitled to an opinion.

We're paying for a player in his prime, what we see is what we get, we're not taking a risk on him like when you sign younger players.

Also he has a skill set where-in he'll still be playing as he is now upto 32/33 years old, he's not reliant on pace but rather trickery and technique, so as he gets older he won't lose his edge like say Sane most likely will.

Premier league proven and also take into account we are taking the best player from an established premier league team that in itself bears a premium. Over market price, probably but whatever we pay it'll be worth it.

Kev is also 28 next year and we'd get £150mil easily if we sold him tomorrow

We need a Mahrez now, not in 3 years time. Without Sane & Sterling we're left with Bernardo & even worse, Gindog getting shoved out wide right.

Mahrez is all about competition/strength in depth added to what we already have. How would you honestly feel if ManUre, Chelsea, Spurs, LFC or Arsenal were in for him? Me, I'd be a little worried. He's a known quantity in the PL, but just imagine what he could do in a team when surrounded by players of a similar/better ability?

I just don’t think he’s that great, is he better than what we already got? I would rather go for Mbappe if we’re talking crazy prices.

nobody fucking said that except one guy on the jorginho thread, he was using euros and he was still at least 20 odd million off.
