Brilliant - the back page of tomorrows Express describes Fred as " uniteds missing link" ? Thought that was Pogbad. Or Matic. Or Sanchez...............fuck me it was Tia Maria and Memphis Meat Pie back in the day............. their missing link is harder to find than the one between cro-magnon man and homo sapiens

Maybe this post should be off topic.....but myself and rammyblues went to watch the Rolling Stones at the Swamp last night.....we sat in the South stand, the one right next to railway line....boy talk about squeezing as many sardines into a can...it's a fooking dump!!! Just sayin'

How do Manchester United identify potential new signings?

Beyond the gossip and chatter, what goes into buying a player? For Man United and other top clubs, it’s a year-round, multi-layered process.

Hahahaha... you know someone in United’s club management team paid to have this spun out because they were upset about comments (correctly) asserting that United just goes after whichever player City have identified and begun negotiating with, eventually paying well over market value (destroying their wage structure again and again) and bowing to extortionate agent fees to acquire them.

There is definitely a pattern where Mourinho signings are often destined for another club before he nips in. Castles is normally reliable when he announces signings also but off the top of my head;

Robben, Obi Mikel & Pedro were all agreed with Rags before he took them to Chelsea.

Lukaku was agreed with Chelsea & Sanchez to us. I’m sure there are far more.

We're not even into June and the tabloid jizz about United and their new signings has already started.

I know it's done to sell papers, click bait, and to drive advertising revenue, but even the Journalists who are told to write this shit every season by those above them must get bored of it. Not to mention honest and level headed United fans. I appreciate the Rag Fam Boys love this kind of stuff.
