However, he doesn't have to.

What he has to do, is be as good as the ones we already have, who are close to unplayable, unless/until they get tired, which is when the performance level drops, which is why we need more of them.

I would argue that this would be the most established player we’ve signed since the takeover. Aguero was great but still young, Silva was also good but hadn’t really won anything yet and that Ivorian guy was a Barca reject. Mahrez will become the only former PFA POTY in our squad and has won the league already.

I'd go along with all of this, with one possible exception. Kev? If I remember rightly, he came to us as Bundesliga Player of the Year. MIght've been Young Player of the Year, but in any case he already had a huge reputation.

Tevez without doubt took us to the next level. The biggest question surrounding Mahrez will be how he settles in spirit wise as he won’t be guranteed a starting spot.

If he has the right attitude to being in and out the team then I agree he will be a top quality addition with proven premier league experience
