Media persecution of Raheem Sterling

Gary Lineker knows the score though.
Twitter is awash with the Talkshitter mob.
Thought Sterling had his best game so far, was very unlucky not to score, great keeping rather than poor finishing.
Funny how Kane and Young who didn’t do much, don’t get any grief.
You’d think people would be overjoyed to be in a Semi final in the World Cup, instead, the first thing they do is slag off Sterling! What the fuck is wrong with people today?

He was the most dangerous player on the pitch today, two or more players on his every touch.
Sure he needs a goal but he is the only player in our squad able to get into the positions he does.

All you have to look at is Southgates reaction to Raheem as he comes off after being subbed, he is doing everything his manager is asking.

Forget the bullshit stirred up by the media he will be starting on Wednesday.

Watched an England game in a UK pub for the first time in years. What a bunch of fucking mouth breathers. Just parroting every line that's been fed to them from the gutter press. He was England's main attacking threat throughout the game, but because everything he did didn't come off, apparently he's shit. Shitter than players who were barely in the game.

Went for a meal with brother in law tonight who is Leeds supporter.
Conversation went like this
Him Well we won
Me Yes great they all played well
Him Hope you dont mind me saying but why does he pick Sterling, he misses chance after chance, he played shite.
Me As a striker I agree but how many did Kane score.
Him Well he had very few chances.
Me How come does everyone give goal chances to RS or does he make his own chances where is Kane when chances develop.
Him Silence
Me Hope he gets dropped and we will see who knows how to generate a scoring chance from open play and who they can then blame as scapegoat.

Kane, after his best performance (not having goals masking a nothing display) in the previous game, was anonymous today.

Sterling again was good, but you can see why armchairs get annoyed when it just doesn’t quite finish with a goal.

Young, exactly like Kane, had an anonymous performance for large parts, after a decent game last time. Though he was given loads of space on left.

Rashford did the same as previous game, came on, looked completely disjointed from rest of team.

Ali had his best game, but still seems to be not fully with it. EDIT: and his crappy celebration. Not as bad as a Lingard, but geez get a grip

Defense and goalkeeper very good.

Biggest threat England have. Another good game. Needs the rub of the green to have a great game, but head and shoulders above most.

He's a Leeds supporter, Raheem never deliberately goes out to injure an opponent so he won't rate the lad.

Good point but his silence meant more to me than upsetting my wife who supports United.
I have to be very careful how I tread but Leeds supporter surely you have to blame the parents.

I keep reading and re-reading your first sentence and not sure if your'e on the wind up.

I may live in Spain but historically I am a UK citizen.
I am in my late 70s so my heroes are BertTrautmann etc..I have had to put up with more shit from other fans than you can believe so my conversation happened in Vera, Almeria, Espaňa about 7pm local time.
I have seen at Citymore bad players than good but RS I rate not for his goalscoring because he lacks composure but for his many other qualities.

I can get all of that. But you married a woman who is a united fan ? I really hope she looks like Angelina Jolie because that is a hell of a burden for a man to carry.

Great point but they are currently basking in the fact that they have recruited a friendof Peps to manage. They grasp at straws but anything that changes their historically violent way to play football I will applaud.
